Great looking rash guard, personally needed a bigger size

I love the design of this rash guard. It offers a great blend of a cool, fashionable design on the sleeve whilst being fairly subtle in the other 80% of the top. It makes a nice change from the Tatami tops, which are the most popular in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the moment and that have huge, bold, graphics across the whole shirt. The dragon design is nice and clear with the overall floral pattern looking really high quality. The white LAFROI logo on the wrist of the opposite sleeve I'm not too crazy about. It's made of a different material to the rest of the shirt and in Jiu Jitsu it may be frowned upon as could offer a little grip to either me or my opponent depending on the position. It's nothing too extreme, but noticeable. For most sports it won't be an issue.

Looking through the reviews, many people were suggesting that you order a size down. I was actually between sizes - the size guide said at 80KG I was a medium/large. That said, I'm pretty top heavy, with a larger chest and not so large legs. I ordered the medium on the basis of many reviews saying to size down and when it arrived it was far too tight for me. Although I could get it on, I found my shoulders and back aching after a short while where the compression was too tight. As such, I returned the medium for a large and found it a much better fit for me (again, I'm 80kg and around 5'10 - top heavy frame). I'd say that if you have a thick build, unless you want/need a skin tight fit then do consider sizing up if you're near the tipping point of sizes.

The fit of the shirt once I got the right shirt was quite nice. I personally liked the fact that you have a tight chest/shoulders, but the length of the arms and torso means there's a bit of looseness there. Although I picked this up for Jiu Jitsu where you do want the rash guard to be fairly tight, I think this little bit of give is perfectly fine and helps a lot with comfort and mobility.

I would say that the materials the shirt is made from are thicker than some rash guards, which I think is why the 'skin tight' fit isn't the most comfortable and I personally preferred to go a little looser via a bigger size. Once I got a size I was happy with though, I really loved the fit and feel.

Overall, this is a superb rash guard for the price. I really love the design and once I got the sizing right the fit and feel is perfect too.

I bought these to stop any form chaffing or irritation in the gym and I must say, they work a treat.

GYM- these are great for the gym, they look amazing, they stop chaffing and absorb sweat perfectly.
OUTDOORS- great to wear under clothes to give your body shape, trap in heat and stop sunburn.
Pros-
stop chaffing
Absorbs sweat to keep gym clothes dry and smelling clean.
Cool designs turn heads and have been a genuine talking point at times.
Increases body temp to help with cardio or keep core body temp high on cold days.
material allows for quick washing and drying.
cons-
increases body temp (depending on the situation can be not ideal)
sizing is slightly to big.
I would recommend ordering a size smaller than what you wear in a t-shirt if you want a snug fit thats going to hug the shape of your body and keeps you insulated. However if you want a slightly looser fit then order your normal size.

would highly recommend.

for the price i was paying i wasnt expecting much from this product from its quality to the sizing and fit however i was greatly suprised by the quality and fit it was really well made and fits like a glove. the designs are beautiful and i will and have ordered more

Getting back into the gym after a year out (covid) and I'm a little self conscious as well as a heavy sweater. Before covid I played a lot of rugby and gymed a sad but fair amount.
So I wanted a nice base layer to keep the sweat at bay and be a bit distracting.
Impressed with what I got, the material is strong and the design is awesome.

It is a really nice rash guard and the colours don’t disappoint. The large size fits well perhaps a bit tight but nobody has the same body shape and this is also a grappling top so you don’t want it loose.

I am 5’ 11 and about 13 stone: the large fits neatly and is very comfortable. Quality is also very good: don’t buy if u have a huge belly though!
I am going to buy again if I can get the right design. I bought them green design and a lot of people admire it.
