En el verano pasado, escogí estas Crucial para la placa base MSI Mpg X570 Gaming Edge Wi-Fi, ya que en su página web se indicaban como compatibles. Pero la placa no las reconocía y decidí devolver las dos piezas de hardware para comprar finalmente las HyperX Predator con las mismas características y similar precio. Conectadas a una nueva y formidable placa ATX, la ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) éstas últimas no me han decepcionado.

Shows as 2666 in bios. And due to limitations regarding Intel. CHipsets cannot get it above 2133mhz. Any attempt even with xmp enabled crashes pc on boot. Rather annoyed as the crucial website said it was compatable with my Asus B150 Pro Gaming board. Just cos it works don't mean it works as advertised. So do lots of research or like me you buy fast. Memory that don't go quickly

Ces barrettes de RAM sont des Crucial DDR4 2666 Mhz (donc 1333 Mhz par canal). Si vous branchez ces barrettes dans votre PC et que vous laissez le BIOS mettre la vitesse par défaut (selon le SPD), elles fonctionneront en mode 2666 Mhz. Il faut choisir un profil XMP pour obtenir la configuration de 3600 Mhz

I already have a pair of BL2K16G32C16U4BL which are the RGB versions of this item which is part number BL2K16G32C16U4B. As far as I could tell compatibility wouldn't be a problem and given these were £25 cheaper and I wasn't bothered about having all of my RAM with RGB, I ordered a pair of BL2K16G32C16U4B to full the RAM slots on my motherboard. After installing them and running MemTest86 (all passed), I noticed that they didn't show up in the HWMonitor utility (the RGB modules did show up) and after a bit of digging with a utility called ThaiPhoon, I was able to generate reports showing the internal details of the installed memory and it appears that the non-RGB DIMMs don't have thermal sensors. This is a bit disappointing considering the Ballistix range are gaming-oriented and thus are more likely to be overclocked, so temperature reporting is important.

So beware - if you want Ballistix RAM with buit-in temperature sensors, you'll need the RGB versions which cost more.

For me, I'm not bothered with overclocking my RAM and my existing RGB DIMMs tell me their operating temperatures, so these BL2K16G32C16U4B DIMMs are fine for what I want.

It's a shame Crucial are discontinuing the Ballistix range as they're great value, are compatible with a wide range of motherboards and perform well.

Off all the things I bought before I decided to just bite the bullet and upgrade everything, the one that made the biggest difference was new (bigger) RAM.

RAM was the one thing I never looked into properly, and was genuinely stunned how intensive even browsing with lots of tabs can be, let alone numerous programs etc. Coming from 16GB RAM, 32GB for me is the minimum I would recommend for anyone building a PC in 2021, but I decided to future proof myself further with 64Gb. 3600MHz really isn't a big difference maker, but a welcome addition regardless.

I learned already that XMP profiles are useless marketing terms. Got another brand of 3200MHz, it could not do 3000MHz intil I spent half a day tweaking and testing. This one does 3200 CL 14 with tweaking. It is pretty decent, but won't go another hertz above that... It will probably go back, since I really want 3600 MHz. Probably a 4000 MHz marketed memory will be able to achieve that... What a waste of time, the XMP profiles were supposed to work, and not require the user to graduate a PhD in DRAM acronym mambo jumbo.

I’m sure I won’t be the only parent buying this type of product for their teenager. so, I thought I’d write a review for anyone who, like me, has no idea about this type of thing.
1. My son checked which one would be best for his PC online. This one was suitable.
2. I’m told it allows more RAM on your PC (space for data, to access quickly) whilst gaming for example. which improves gaming performance. -sons words (double checked via google).
3. Son installed easily by himself-clearly I’m zero use for this step!
4. Son reports they have been very useful and he has had no issues.
Gaming performance improved - check!
Happy son - check :-)

So, it’s ok. It looks nice in my build, but... i had a problem installing it, I had to reinsert it a couple times for it to work. Another thing, is the advertised speed is 3000mhz, but when I go into bios, the max setting I can put it to is 2800 ish MHz? Little confused and disappointed by that but then again it was budget so not too fussed. It’s ok, it works and looks nice, just you don’t get the speeds advertised 🤨😤

It's black, does exactly what it says on the sticker and it's cheap (relatively). Can't complain.
Tried a quick and dirty 3600 overclock and It got to Windows but failed a stress test. May work with finer tuning (if I ever get time) but don't buy assuming you'll get better than the stated figures.

ram ran at the advertised speed and timings after using dram calculator improved performandce with about 15-20 fps in r6 from 3000 mhz ram so overall good performance but ryzen dram calculator settings made a big difference
