Just received 32 Gb Ram through letter box and I'm immediately returning it.
At a cost of £183.99 I now have no confidence in its reliability.
When I opened the outer packaging the manufacturers box had been opened. The plastic seal had been cut and the person who opened it didn't even have the common sense to close it properly.
I can see no legitimate reason for it to be opened. At £184 the manufacturer closes the box and I should be the first person to open it.
RAM is very sensitive and I have no way of knowing how it has been handled. Damage can be caused that is not immediately obvious and it could fail at any time in the near future. It could have been swapped with faulty RAM or be a return reissued and sold as new. As I have said there is no valid reason for it to have been opened.
Now I have to wait a week for a replacement. Hopefully delivered in tact.

Update..
Today received replacement RAM. It came all the way from Germany. Once again it had been opened before delivery. I now don't know if there is any point in asking for a replacement or if I should just ask for my money back and order from the crucial website.
The pictures show how the RAM was delivered. The left is the first one, with plastic seal cut.
The right is todays delivery. the seal has been peeled off but not stuck back properly.
This RAM may work for years or it may not.
I still can't imagine why anyone would need to open the packages. Even if it was just curiosity, you can see what's inside without opening them.

I have an older gaming rig that that I will give the kids and I am building a new one, they don't do PC gaming. My existing RAM was also a Crucial Ballistix 32GB kit (2x16GB BL16G32C16U4R.M16FE1) which have been working perfectly for 2-3 years which I will transfer to the new build.

Anyway...I bought this kit because it was cheap (45 quid) and the same reliable brand, or so I thought!

Installed in to my existing gaming rig and it wouldn't boot, put my old RAM in and it booted just fine. Tried numerous times, updated my MB (B350 Tomahawk) to the latest stable firmware and still nothing. Then I tried a single stock and it did boot up, but I simply couldn't get both sticks to work together.

Popped in some Kingston Fury RAM (2x 8GB DDR4 3200 as well) which was also purchased from Amazon (50 quid) , set XMP profile and all good!?

Very disappointed with this Crucial kit, maybe I was unlucky.

Gigantic Letdown

For the first few months, it was undefeatable. But, after that, I started getting BSOD errors, multiple times a day, as much as twenty.

Eventually these were tracked down to the RAM, which were regrettably faulty modules.

Can't get them replaced since they don't do them anymore, only option is refund, which is pointless since the prices are all WAY higher, I paid £32, but now they go for £70+, think I'm missing the point.

Not stable, the packaging inside amazon not sealed, the plastic sheaf holding memory has signs of wear. Once put in PC showed as 2666 memory, when set manually to 3200 PC refused to load had to clear bios to start then reset, memory put in correct slots to run as dual, been building PC for 31 years. Even in 2666 computer crashed when used for gaming. Not fit for purpose . Summary package looked like was opened, or maybe a return, memory not run at 3200 and unstable

Unfortunately for some reason I received slower memory. Installation easy as pie, but when up and running despite ensuring motherboard set up to run at 3200 it maxed out at 2666. Slowing down the computer rather than speeding things up.

Returned. But incredibly slow process.m to get refund to allow purchase of actual quality items.

Really not happy with this process and would recommend avoiding this item

I've tried these RAM onto two desktop PC. The first one didn't recognise them and it reset my boot sequence. To test out the RAM I tried it on another PC, it didn't work. First card didn't want to boot the PC and I could not see anything on the monitor. 2nd card didn't get pass the bootup menu, it all froze up.

Fastest memory on my motherboard is CL19 2700. plus the people who installed the processor fan did it at at angle so I could never have fitted this memory - not crucial's fault. I'm saving this memory for a motherboard upgrade

at first I ordered this package as it was great value for money when it was on sale
after ordering I waited paciently for almost a month for the ram to arrive only to open the package and have resieved an M.2 SSD. I got a full refunnd but when I went to order again it had gone up in price and did not fit under budget.
I have no resieved and am using corsair vengence ram the were on sale for Black friday.
much more reliable. Corsair ram was recieved in less than two days in perfect condition.

I bought the 3600Mhz but it came as 2600Mhz that totally unacceptable in addiction the box say 3600Mhz but in the pc settings says the memory is 2600Mhz

Without warning my PC ran into a DRAM error and would not boot. I have tested both sticks and found that both are now faulty. The returns process through Crucial requires you to pay to return the items yourself and, if the issue found is deemed to not be a manufacturing issue, they then own the product that you paid to return. I will now be purchasing Corsair RAM as a replacement.
