Beware.
Anyone who has had he otterbox defender series will know they are quite expensive, very sturdy and of a high quality in manufacturing.
Unfortunately this is not the case for its current galaxy note 20 ultra 5g case.I recently bought one from amazon and it somehow broke after only a few weeks of use.The retaining clip for the holster has been redesigned and instead of a flat plastic bar there are now two small pinhead retaining clips.Also there is no front plastic screen cover as with previous models.The phone is also quite loose in the belt holster which doesn't inspire confidence. Having previously had six or so defender series cases, I found this made in china one of low quality.I will continue to use the replacement Amazon supplied and see how long this one lasts. I will also be looking for a better more robust one as I fear its replacement is not going to last!!? Time will tell

Really Bad for front protection

I was so excited to get this Otterbox case as I had heard great reviews about their cases. So I decided to get one as I wanted a case that gave me more protection than the case I had at the time. I got the case put it on and was happy with it then after a few hours of using the case the screen protector started lifting in the bottom right hand corner of the phone. Now bear in mind this is the screen protector that Samsung has on the Note 20 Ultra from factory. I've had the phone for over 2 years and never had an issue with the protector until I put this case on. So it looks as thought the case does not fit the phone snug as when the front section of the case is put on it looks OK to start off with until ypu start using the phone and clipping it in and out of the belt clip this was when I noticed the screen protector starting to lift. Now I have paid that money for a case that I have now had to take of and on top of that the original Samsung screen protector will not completely sit in the bottom corner correctly as it was lifted a grain of dust or something has got underneath it and now no matter how hard I try to get the little bubble out it will not go. This really annoys me as I am very careful with my phones. And this has really upset me as I will now have to get a replacement screen protector for my phone. Not impressed.

They used to be good quality, all used to be made in the US, they made a big thing about all their kit being made in the US. They actively pointed out the difference in quality to the knock offs that came from China. Then what happened? They made it impossible to work out what was legit and what was not, all because they now also manufacture in China. I note on the report a fake on their website it no longer states look for the made in the USA mark anymore.

So final thoughts. These are now overpriced. They are no longer made in the US and they are just as poor quality as the knock offs I find. That's not a scientific result, that's just from using a knock off for a few years (which I didn't know at the time) to using a genuine one from Otterbox themselves. Both lasted the same amount of time. Both broke in the same spots.

The only useful part of this is the rubber case keeping the glass away from the surface it sits on. That protects it in a fall. But the plastic surround that goes on first the clips ALWAYS snap, always. Eventually the surround itself snaps in several places and falls apart (normally after a year or two). A few of the rubber covers eventually snap off, again after about a year or two. At this point you can either get a replacement or find something else.

They claim they are looking at sustainability, but I don't know how when these cases are all plastic and don't last very long.

If they were cheaper then fine, but at this price they are no longer worth it.

Doesn't fit my S10 5G

Accidentally broke my previous case (a very good and sturdy case until I picked at it a bit) last night (it was breaking, pulled a chipped bit and it ended up coming apart) so decided on a whim to get this one since I've heard nothing but good things about OtterBox cases to find.... it doesn't fit my S10 5G. The instructions are BS too. Give WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS not pictures!! Seems my phone is too wide. Only one side will fit in at a time. Tried to stretch it with my teeth while trying to fit my phone in it and hurt my teeth and now I'm afraid I chipped a tooth or something. Gave up and threw it on the floor (I was angry about something and needed to get ny anger out and didn't want to hurt anything or anyone)
What a waste of c.£30
I'm better off being über careful with no phone case - then I wouldn't risk injury to my teeth as well as possibly rebooting my phone which is on edge anyway from being a bit glitchy (partially my fault)
Want to go back to my old CaseMe magnetic wallet case but I don't need another wallet.

Very disappointed. I like quality cases and am always prepared to spend a little more to get quality. So in the case (no pun intended) I turned to Otterbox
What a let down. I returned the first one because the clip broke immediately. Then the clip on the replacement I recieved broke immediately aswell along with the rubber blistering on the back and then the inner plastic bumper completely snapped, I had never taken the case off!!! How?!!!!
Terrible case, company has clearly lost all respect for its name by using bad designers and even worse materials. So bad!!!
Got a Mous case instead now. Feels fantastic!

Tl, dr: try something else instead.

1. Box instructions are terrible, check interweb for video or photos instead.

2. The outer soft bumper is growing! Instead of being stretch to fit it arrived slightly loose and has only become looser. That is, all the corners (previously just one) now no longer hug the rigid plastic case and the back now also has a ~3mm sag (and increasing).

I have had this for less than a year now and the rubber has become loose from taking it off to clean now and again. As well as this the plastic case clips have broken meaning the case can't connect and as the rubber case doesn't fit properly now it all falls apart. This case hasn't had a hard life so I'm surprised this has happened.

Its average is about as far as I'm going to go. I previously had an Otterbox for a Samsung and it was a fantastic piece of kit. For the iPhone 6 its a different story. The bottom edge near the charging points doesn't close tightly and there is no mechanism for it to do this, all the clips being around the side. The screen doesn't touch the iPhone screen so there is always a gap between the two making it necessary to press two or three times to get a response from the phone. It basically doesn't fit very well, I've taken it off and bought cheaper silicon case and screen protection which works perfectly.

Rubber keeps coming off at the bottom causing plastic outer case to break.
When trying to get replacement amazon is telling me to contact Otterbox and Otterbox is tell me to contact amazon.
So that's £££'s down the drain.
