I ran out of HDMI ports on my TV and decided to try a switch. This enables me to have three devices plugged in to my one free port. The switch comes with a handy remote control to enable selection of the device you want to .use. If only one port has something switched on then the switch will automatically select that device. This has meant to me that I do not usually even have to use the remote. I am very happy with this switch and recommend it.

I previously bought a HDMI splitter from another company and it didn't work so I gave it a 1 star review. They asked me to change my review as this was a fault with 1 product. They sent a second free of charge... it didn't help. Like the first the second didn't work either. They also had a plug in order for it to work...

Anyway this splitter is just class, comes well packaged. Remote has a battery in it. I was a bit puzzled when I removed the small splitter from the box and only saw the remote. The previous company ruined me for other HDMI splitters. But that's it, the splitter and a remote. 4 HDMI sockets at the back, 1 outlet which immediately turns it on and 3 for your other devices.

It's neat, sleek, feels sturdy and works perfectly. 5 Stars it is. I'm delighted I took a chance and bought 2. The remote is simple to use but as you can see from the pictures I live with simple and needed to label what button activates what HDMI. Either way it's very simple to use, choosing either the number you're looking for or use the scroll buttons. Absolutely buy this product, sure buy 2 and then your friends might need one too.

Sure go on, you may as well.

I purchased this unit to connect an Apple TV to my Panasonic LED TV.

It all sounds quite simple, but I knew the reality was going to be quite different, especially when reading the handy User Guide under the "Automatic Input Selection" that stated that Apple TV is a non-compliant device under this area.

My two devices on the Input side are a Sky Q box and an Apple TV. On the Output was first to a Bose Smart Soundbar 300 (HDMI Arc) then to my Panasonic TV which is about three years old.

Plugged all in as per the User Guide, switched on the Sky box, picture and sound perfect. Used the splitter remote to change the input source to my Apple TV. The picture and sound perfect, I was amazed.

It was when changing the input back to the Skybox, I got the picture but no sound.

Initially, I thought it was the settings in the Bose soundbar; what I found out after many hours, it was the Apple TV even in sleep mode was still hanging onto the sound channel. So as the User Guide states you have to switch the apple TV off and this should cure the problem.

Going through the process of switching between the input devices with the splitter and finding when moving from the Apple TV to the Skybox, the sound was not available.

The workaround I came across which may be useful to others, I selected another HDMI port on the TV and then switched it back to the HDMI ARC.

I am pleased with the unit; I like:-

- The case is Alliumium to help dissipate the heat.

- No power supply needed.

- The ports are all in the back of the unit so that it makes it easy to connect all the cables, and also it sits nice and tidy in the TV unit.

- The cost.

Before I purchased the unit, I knew it was not going to be straight forward but looking back; it was not that bad, especially with an Apple TV and a Bose soundbar.

Brilliant! The first HDMI switch I've bought that actually works. I bought a few before (even those with good reviews) which didn't work, so I gave up. Before buying a new TV instead, I saw this by chance and thought I would try it as a last resort - and it worked! (I have an LG TV). It has good build and feels like a quality bit of kit. It has arrows on the remote so that you can rotate between hdmi devices for ease of use. The switch does have lights on the front, but they're not too intrusive as they're blue. Remember that you'll need an extra hdmi cable to connect this to the TV, then connect your devices to it. Recommended!

Love this gadget. Even though my TV has two HDMI points, I had freeview plugged into one and Now TV stick in the other which meant everytime I wanted to watch a DVD I had to fiddle around at the back of the TV to unplug Now TV and plug in the DVD player.

I then got a firestick in order to get youttube and other stuff on the TV which meant another thing to mess around with so I got this little gadget.

Now, all I need to do is use the tiny remote control that comes with this gadget to change from 1, 2 or 3 rather than keep switching the HDMI cables - so much easier.

Only negatives if you could call them that - yet another remote control to join the already mounting amount of remotes and also the remote is very small and easy to use - providing you have all your remote controls organised then you'll be fine

Great HDMI switch

I had a non-remote HDMI switch previously but I replaced it with this one as all the ports (cables) on this switch are on one side, which make it easier to locate and set up on my desk. I use it to switch my display between home PC and work laptop, which is does perfectly. Picture (and sound) quality is not affected by having this switch between my devices and the monitor. Remote works great also. I like the fact that if one of the ports is not used or your device is offline, then you can see that on the display and you don't have to cycle through them on the unit - also individual devices can be directly selected on the laptop. All in all, very happy with this switch. It is more expensive than my other HDMI switch but it is well made and well worth the extra money.

Purchased after we inadvertently added a new bit of entertainment tech to the telly at Christmas and can't be bothered to scramble round the back of the TV every time we want to us it.

We had to buy an additional HDMI cable for it, but that's all.

Plug up to 3 pieces of entertainment tech HDMI cables into the back of the device, attach it to the telly with another HDMI cable and use the remote or the buttons on the device to choose which one you want to link to.

Even better if the item you want to use is the only one plugged in, this little gizmo will automatically connect it to the TV.

Lifesaver. Cant believe it was so quick and easy to install.

Very pleasing.

I have a main computer and a test / Zoom computer that use a common monitor with an HDMI port, and no DVI or DP ports. The orginal monitor had an HDMI port and a DVI port that were switchable. The change to a monitor with a single HDMI port was an issue that fortunately, was solveable with this HDMI switch. I kept the HDMI cables a short as possible and, as an extravagance, used 8K cables that I had spare. Everything worked first time and, I could have the main and test computers running at the same time, and switch between them with the included remote. In fact, this arrangement is better than the original set up.

Absolutely the best bar none, unless you want to spend stupid money of course. Three HDMI inputs switchable from where I sit too.

The unit has nice unobtrusive lights, you can see them if you look but they don't cause any bother at all, and in fairness they actually look really nice to boot.

The unit seems to be of a high quality build, a great finish and great all round looks, and I've read others mention the remote, I love that it isn't as obtrusive as the main units for television etc.

Five stars all around.

Beware - Fire TV stick needs an extra port

This product worked well straight out of the box, simple to install and use. Very happy so far.

As noted by previous reviewers this does work with the Fire TV stick HOWEVER you will need an extra spare port. This is because the power supply to the Fire stick is attached on the right hand side and there isn't space for this if you are connecting another HDMI cable in the adjacent port. This isn't a shortcoming of the switch, just a warning to buy one with more ports than you require if connecting a Fire stick.
