Build quality, value for money, image quality are all excellent. There is one oddity in that on the case it states that you can connect an external 5v PSU and even gives the barrel connect pin-out, but there is no external connector. This however is a good thing in my opinion. The unit derives all it's power from the DHMI connections so there is no messing around with additional PSU's needed - wish they all did that. There is only one annoying "feature". There are LEDs for power and output signal; both blue. There are 3 input LEDs (one per input) which are either blue (input selected), red, input available but not selected, or dark, input not selected. The 3 input LEDs also change intensity (which is a nice feature). Again in my opinion, it's difficult to quickly see which input is selected when all three are active sometimes. I just don't like the over use of blue. I would have preferred green. It's a small thing but it does cause me trouble. That said, the unit works really well. The sockets seem decent quality and I've had no problems with dodgy or loose connections. Running at 1920x1080 resolution and no problems.

Ordered this the other day, as my daughter realised she has only 1 HDMI port on her TV. Delivery was quick enough, and it was packaged well.
There were more good reviews than bad and the bad reviews related to game console connectivity, which was irrelevant to me.
Set up was very easy. It was a good thing we had a spare HDMI cable, as I didn't read the info properly, and thought it was included.
Both a Firestick and a Chromecast have been plugged in, and the remote works just as well as the manual switch to change things over. So far, so good.

I need to replace my old HDMI splitter as I found that Sky Q wouldn't work through my old one. My old LCD telly only has one 4K input so this enables me to have three 4k devices attached. The build quality is good, pretty robust and runs from power fed from the devices, so no need to an extra plug socket to power it up. It has bright LED light on the front panel to show which device is active. Tbh the lights are quite bright, so if you want something dark and minimalist, you might want to look elsewhere. The remote is small and functional and works perfectly well, but 95% of the time, mine's switched to Sky so it's just as easy to get of my a&%$ are manually switch it over to a different HDMI channel if I want to feed in a different source. Overall very happy with it. Well built, works well, reliable and reasonably priced.

Great little switcher, it feels a bit cheap but it's hidden away somewhere so aesthetics aren't really important! The remote control is the usual "thin card style" remote you get with budget 'no-name' electronic products (indeed you can even see/feel the dimples for buttons that aren't implemented as clearly they use the same remote for many devices) but it's functional and reliable.

One thing that is worth noting is the HDMI ports are very close together, so if you're using it with normal HDMI cables that's fine, but if plugging things like the Fire TV stick or similar directly into the unit you will need short extension cables.

Doesn’t 100% Support 4K

Having hooked up my PS5 and Xbox Series S via the box I finally had the ability to switch between both - yay. However I was quickly frustrated by intermittent blackouts where the picture and sound would vanish for a few seconds, it happens randomly and not in response to any particular event occurring. Also didn’t matter if the console I was playing was on or off. After going through the video settings I finally found the cause - enabling 4K.

With that off the black screen issue has stopped. I’m only playing Lego and older titles currently so 4K isn’t a major concern and the switch does work well - but worth noting though if you’re banking on the 4K aspect - go for the more expensive switches and I suspect you’ll get better results.

Very easy to install and very easy to use. Does exactly what it says on the tin. The only problem is that due to the ports being so close and my Amazon fire stick 4k being a bit chunky its mean you lose a port. Also when flicking through the ports there is no indicator on screen to say which port you are using. Only once you have selected a port can you use the light on the switch to identify

Good product. Plug and play. Like that it runs from TV power supply (no additional cable - most seem to have it coming from the front too. Logistically irritating).
Easy switch between channels using the remote. Occasionally it doesn't pick up the remote signal but I'm sure that's as much to do with the box being moved while streaming from a laptop, for example. However, it always picks up the signal after a couple clicks.
Viewing quality is excellent but feel that's as much to do with the cables I've used. Good to know it's improved rather than worsened.

Great product. Works exactly as expected. Haven’t checked with sound, as my monitor doesn’t have speakers. Takes all the hassle out of reaching behind and switching cables, and means my desk setup is MUCH neater.

The biggest bonus for a desk setup is it disconnects the source device when switching to another, meaning if you use the monitor/tv as a shared second screen between computers, you don’t end up with a phantom second screen which you can’t access on the second conputer. My monitor has two HDMI inputs with auto-switching, so I was hoping the monitor would behave this way. This functionality is the main reason I bought this switcher. It should advertise this perk more heavily.

Doesn’t require power which is an added bonus.

No need for separate power supply like the cheaper type I bought previously that packed up after a few months. I had to restart my Phillip TV before the HDMI port would connect. I would have liked to have a power off button because I do not need to have any of the connected devices on all the time. Indeed, when my smart plug restored power to the TV on the first morning, the TV turned and on and woke me up puzzled, instead of going to stand by. The workaround has been to leave the new device on the unused 3rd port (reserved for my Laptop). On the second morning, the TV went to stand by as expected. In case you were wondering, this how I get the Philip TV to connect to my Sony home cinema sound system, without manual switching which sometimes does not work.

(aka my previous review) this switcher seems to have got its act together and the picture and sound seems to have weirdly improved from the day i first used it ..so ive added another star. plus i cant fault the supplier for bieng helpfull (RE spare remotes)
