Functionally great if a little unwieldy, but for the price I'm happy.

I just got this to replace my home made version made from a couple of photo frames, a hinge and an old tripod head. The problem with my home made job was that I needed to mount in on a second tripod.. which was way too messy.

This TeleprompterPAD iLight Pro 10 solves that problem, and looks more professional.
Fortunately, I had some spare quick release mounts and plates that match the rest of my gear. So I attached a plate to the bottom of the teleprompter, and a quick release mount to the raised tier.. so I can slot in the teleprompter and camera quickly on set.

I'd say if you don't have these accessories, you're going to have a bad time trying to set it up and balance it every time you need it.

The unit is a little long and unwieldy, so I did some trial an error and put the quick release mount in a position that gave the best balance with my typical interview camera / lense combination. If this ever changes, I will definitely need to reset everything.
I'd also say it's probably not a good idea to use a big heavy lens with this set up as you probably won't get a satisfactory balance.

However, I'm pretty pleased with how it functions for me, and the bag is a nice addition. I'm not sure how safe the glass component is inside the bag (there's not much protection), but I'll just make sure not to toss the bag about roughly.

I have no opinion on the remote control as I use voice tracking technology instead to scroll the text. Other reviews state the remote is a bit rubbish anyway.

Overall, this works as good as any other teleprompter from a simple physics perspective, but you will probably need some extra bits to make setting it up and using it a little less cumbersome.

Not as portable as made out in the product info but portable enough for what I want to use it for. Could do with a more protective bag. Set up isn't too hard but the instruction video isn't 100% clear so a little bit of guessing is required.
So far no problems with the physical device itself and it's been used at least 7-10 times.
I've used this in bright sun and indoors and It works really well.

The app is difficult to find on the iOS App Store and once found does take a while to get used to using. The remote provided is useless in my opinion and after about an hour trying to calibrate I gave up and turned to the iOS remote app so I use my iPhone to control the text on the iPad.

The iOS remote does disconnect if your phone unlock or you get a phone call so be conscious of this.

For the price I paid, I expected more in regards to the apps and remote but considering there isn't much else in the market for this price and offering this level of quality, I'm quite happy.

Fantastic product, well made. The glass is great quality helping to not bring down the quality of the image. Easy to put together. We didn't risk our main camera (BM URSA Mini Pro) as it is very heavy and we weren't sure whether it could cope with the the weight so we went with our smaller camera (BM Cinema Camera).

One thing that wasnt very good was the remote. It had one function, when you pressed up and down it went at lightning speed to the top or bottom of the script depending on which way you requested. There seems to be no way of adjusting it. Three technical dudes all tried and we failed. Buying the right app for the iPAd is therefore important, but again for the money, this isnt a problem and an overall GREAT product.

Just set up my Teleprompter TP-iLight PRO with my DSLR camera and I am really pleased. Requires a little bit of set up putting it together but nothing too onerous. Feels solid and well constructed with clear instructions. Works well with any tablet or smartphone - there are plenty of teleprompter apps out there (free and paid-for). It compares favourably to similar, more expensive set ups. The reason I haven't given a full five stars is because there is no way of securing the tablet device to the front. It's a minor issue - as long as you don't mess around with the prompter too much it should stay put as it just lays flat (and the metal has a lip on it) - but it would be nice to make sure it doesn't slip off and fall to the ground by accident. Otherwise, exactly what I need - thank you!

although easy to assemble, you have to start from scratch each time. Some others on the market you can leave a few bits screwed together for quicker assemble on set. Also, the carry bag is great, but doesn't come with any protection for the glass screen, which I thought was quite odd. But a great product and good value for money, will certainly do the job.

It’s very robust being all metal and well designed but it’s terribly overpriced for what it is. I’m sure it will work well. I struggled with the free app - and the remote is sort of ok but looks really cheap. I also came with a ‘free’ iPhone holder - this plastic spring loaded holder is really cheap and nasty. I bought a well manufactured metal holder for £11 which is absolutely solid and I know it’s going to keep my iPhone secure. The free one is much more likely to fail and damage my phone - so why bother to include it?

I really like this product - It's quite pricey for what it is but it has made filming pieces to camera so easy.
Once you have mastered the app, you are good to go. It takes a little bit to get the hang of it and the speed and size correct, but after that, it will save you so many takes!

A great teleprompter and assembles easily. Just not able to work out which app the remote will work with!
The remote would be so useful, as otherwise you need someone to control the speed of the scroll from a phone. If the reader could control it would be so much easier. I'm using an Ipad and paid for iCue thinking that might work, but no. Any suggestions most appreciated.

Very happy with this. I don’t use the remote as I already had a remote and software I was familiar with. Only issue is that I had to drill a hole for the power cable from my camera (Canon M50) as the camera sits flush on the metal plate, and the cable comes out underneath on that model.
