Not great quality cleaning pads and overpriced!!

This cleaning sponges from Mr Siga, are not great for doing washing up in the sink. I previously used E-cloth pads which are amazing but expensive and I thought that I should try this brand, to save money as they are more affordable. Why pay more for something you can get cheaper. But as the saying goes you get what you pay for. The reviews are great on Amazon for this product, and that lead me to buy it and I have been let down and I have wasted over £9. I can only assume that people giving great reviews have not experienced better brands for this type of cleaning sponge. It is actually overpriced for its quality, function and durability and I would of been better of buying the typical washing up sponges you can buy in any supermarket for less than a £1. The quality is not great compared to E-cloth and they don’t last nearly as long. It’s too absorbent and leads to mould due to it soaking up too much water, that stays in the sponge for a long time because of its material. I have have been dealing with an increase of mould issues ever since using this sponge in my kitchen. The sponge is also very thick and not very flexible and can make washing up plates and kitchen utilities tedious, it also looses it’s original shape after a while. It’s not worth the price, and in long run E-cloth is more affordable as they last longer. I’ll be trying other brands that are more cost-effective or going back to E-cloth.

What I didn't know, and what is not explained on any of the identical packaging's wordings, is that each of the two sets of three sponges have different washing surfaces on them, one finish being very light on the more abrasive sides compared to those of the other set which have much more abrasive potential on one of their sides. I feel a little bit annoyed at this as I'd expected all six sponges to be the same as those 'e-cloth' ones that are sold by 'Amazon' and in most local supermarkets, So, what I got was three sponges comparable with those of the 'e-cloth' sponges and three others that possess almost no abrasive surfaces worth the mention. I may have been less concerned had these differences been explained before I'd committed to buying the six sponges, but they weren't. So, I hope this information might help others when choosing what they'd prefer to buy. Only two stars awarded due to my annoyance at being caught out by the incomplete marketing information.

Smaller than I thought they would be.
Thinner than I expected.
Used to deep clean the bathroom today and I doubt it will last. As such, the comment they can be laundered to use again I very much dispute.

For the price v quality I’d just stick to the Pound Shop type products.

Don’t waste your money.

An excellent washing up sponge

The product comprises 6 washing up sponges. The sponges are longer and slightly thinner than your bog-standard washing up sponges. The main colour is silver/grey but the edges are either yellow or blue (three of each colour).

The sponges are curved/ indented in the middle making them easy to grip on to. They have a two scouring surfaces; one side softer than the other. Neither scouring surface is very harsh making it really good for washing up non-stick pans and other more delicate items. I use the sponge to wipe down my counter tops and hob with no problem.

The sponges are really hard wearing and last a good amount of time before needing to be replaced. One sponge lasted me about 6 weeks (and I don't have a dishwasher so I wash up everything by hand). They are very absorbent and can hold a lot of water. I also find that food doesn't become trapped in the sponge so they continue to look good after many uses.

The sponges are a little more expensive than your standard wash-up sponges but they do outlast them, so over time you get better value for money. I really like the fact that the scouring surface is an integral part of the sponge and doesn't tear away from the sponge, which can happen with other brands.

I thought that I would be receiving 6 x 'Dual Action', with the silver scrubbing surface on one side, which are very good.
The other three are merely sponge and microfibre, which don't make any difference, whichever side you use; so not 'Dual Action'. Both have the exact same label on them, even though they are different.
Some of the photos on various Amazon ads can be confusing, so the description should be more specific, as two what you will receive. I won't be buying them again.

So... scrubbing sponges. Who knew one could be pleased with buying scrubbing sponges. They are the perfect length to fit into glasses without having to have one of those ridiculous brushes sat on your sink, they are well made and so far haven't fallen apart (like some cheaper counter-parts) and they have a clever dual action of rough scouring side and smooth side so no need for multiple sponges.

Having bought ones similar to this but that cost more, I was intrigued to see if these were any good.
I will only ever buy these now, the scrub better and the whole usability is better .
Plus I’ve washed the in the washing machine and they’ve not gone into a blob inside , they retain they’re shape even through the dryer

Doesn’t rinse clean - Takes days to dry out

This sponge is good the first time you use it. But it’s it’s not easy to rinse out as it absorbs the water and retains it. I’ve noticed that it takes days to actually dry out. I have to leave it on a stand to one side to let it dry. I used one to clean grease off the cooker hood and tried to rinse the grease off but it doesn’t come off, because it’s hard to rinse this.
