Daar ik een tweedehands (?) AMD Ryzen 9 3600 over had genomen op tweakers.net moest ik nieuwe koelpasta hebben en Amazon bleek met deze het goedkoopst te zijn.
Zelf ben ik geen over-klokker maar de recensies die ik heb gezien en gelezen geven aan dat dit een van de beste is.
Er kunnen beste betere zijn maar zolang je niet extreem gaat over-klokken gewoon doen.

So I had purchased Grizzly for my 3 year old Alienware 17 R4. After a lot of read thru and experiences (definately not enough) I decided to go for this instead of the Artic MX 2019.

As this was the first time taking my expensive laptop apart, I was naturally very tense, due to which mistakes were made as follows :

1. I applied too much paste on CPU. GPU was a bit more but OK.
2. Didn't pay close attention to the thermal pad replacement. (I thought if it works don't fix it)
3. Didn't do a good job in eyeballing the thermal pad contacts. (After final tightening some pads were not making contact with the chokes).
4. Didn't follow the number order when screwing the heat sink/fans back.

As can be seen for from the tests there is not a big drop in temps as "I was expecting". Unfortunately I did not take a pre application tests to compare, but from what I remember with the same tests conducted under similar conditions earlier, the CPU and GPU temps were in their mid to high 80s. So keeping that as a rough ref. 2 cores are giving 10 drop but 2 cores are almost the same (I learn this problem is specific to this laptop later), the GPU has a 10-15 deg drop which is really great. So did the paste work? yes it did but I was expecting the CPU temps especially to stay below 80 DEG mark 🤷.

With the 30% left over paste I decided to give another try with my wife's Acer Aspire 13" R3 laptop (used only 10% of the 30% paste this time). This laptop does not have any fan or vents, there is just a metal plate or heat spreader that dissapates the heat to the chassie. My wife used to complain that the laptop underside gets very hot after an hour of use. The temps used to hover 60-70 deg.
This time I guess I did it right, applied the correct amount of paste, placed ADWITs thermal pads where necessary, checked that all was good before the final placement. The results are great here, as can be seen the temps are almost the same in both tests, but if u see closely before Grizzly after 30 mins of test due to the excess heat generation the laptop is limiting the cpu freq to 880 mhz and average multiplier for 30 mins is *11. After Grizzly results show after 45 mins of test the average multiplier is *22 at the same temps, clearly indicating good heat dissapation. Moreover now thar laptop does not heat up at all on the lap. After 2 hrs the temps hover high 40s to low 50s, and most importantly wife is happy.... hehe

So the paste is Great, BUT does only 40% of the job, rest 60% depends on the applicator's competency 😎.

I am using Helios 300 as my daily driver and for gaming, Out of the box machine was good but was having heating issues. During normal work loads the temperatures were around 75-85 celsius and during gaming it rose to 95-100 celsius. I tried undervolting and other remedies but to no avail. Finally I gave this a shot after viewing many videos. I expected machine running a tad bit cooler, but to my surprise normal temps are down to 46-60 celsius and during heavy gaming it never crossed 75 celsius. No thermal throttling even after overclocking. MUST DO for all gaming devices.

Estuve buscando en Internet como diferenciar entre una Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut falsa y original y se debe tener cuidado con los vendedores y el código de verificacion, empaque, jeringa negra y folleto largo esta pasta térmica es ORIGINAL vendido por Quantum Soluciones a demás que hice varias preguntas directamente con ellos y me contestaron todo.
Lo mejor de lo mejor en pastas térmicas.

Very Effective and Easy to use

Note: Do a very good research on thermal pastes before starting!

Item arrived very fast, less than 24 hours and came in its small black Thermal Grizzly package along with a plastic spatula. The paste seems a bit enlarged in the pictures but it is actually very small. Just 1 gram of that paste, still enough for 4-5 applications. Use only 1 pea size drop on both cpu and gpu, dont put on the heatsink. After you put the heatsink back on the paste will spread equally. There is no downside of putting a little more so if you are in doubt, go for another tiny drop because if you put less than a certain amount, it won't take effect.

After you put everything back together, the temperature change is immediate. I am using a laptop, msi ge73 7rf, gtx 1070 and i7 7700HQ. The idle temps were 60 for both cpu and gpu, the full load temps were 95 for cpu and 80 for gpu. The laptop would get extremely hot and it would burn your finger if you touch the top of the keyboard. The heat would reach to the WASD keys causing uncomfortable feeling. There were 25-30% thermal throttling during full load. After applying the Kryonaut paste, the temperatures dropped 10 to 15 degrees. Now, the idle is 50 for both and full load is 83-80 for cpu and 75 for gpu. I tried overclocking the gpu after seeing such temperature drop and that way the temps only increased 3 degress. I used a heater to heat the room and fan cooler to increase airflow. With fans on full speed and room heated, the temps didn't go above 90 for cpu and 82 for gpu even when overclocked.

The results are shocking, even with overclocking and warm environment, the temperatures were below stock temperatures. This stuff works and it is much safer and easier to apply than liquid metal. Go for this if you don't want any stress and headache just for extra few degrees less.

Without a doubt the best thermal paste I've used.

I was initially sceptical when reading about the performance of this thermal paste, however it proved to be as good as is claimed.

I usually use Arctic Silver 5 which kept my CPU (i7 6700k @ 4.5ghz) at around 65 degrees after stress testing for 2 hours with AIDA64. The newly applied Thermal Grizzy Kryonaut saw the temperature drop to 53 degrees after the same stress testing.

I was very impressed and would absolutely recommend this.

I've been building PC's since way back when the original Pentium was released. I've been using arctic silver for most builds and thought I'd give this a try. My OC'ed i7 4790K which used to idle in the low 40s and get up to 78 degrees at max running now idles in the low 30s and I've even seen it drop to 25 degrees C. It never goes above 65 degrees full bore now either.

My OC'ed i7 7700K which would get up into the mid 70s now maxes out at 55 degrees C and idles in the low 30s.

Both PCs are running water cooling solutions form Corsair for comparison.

I'm very pleased and other than going to full liquid cooling this is the next best thing. Just be aware it is very thick and you don't need much - just put a 3mm blob on a patiently spread it with the included spatula. You'll get about 3 CPUs done with the 1g tube and it takes a good 5 minns per application. Just don't rush.

Although I have found this to be the best performing thermal grease there are a few others out there that will give you almost the same results and cheaper. Personally I stick to this one because it's tried and tested and after using it for the past 3 years it's always gave me excellent results and never let me down. There are a few reviews out there that say the grease is thick and can be difficult to spread. It is a thicker grease and although I have never found it too difficult to spread the more you get used to it and your application technique improves. The first couple of times it took me a wee bit to get it applied right and if honest I probably used too much of it. Now I don't even think about it and it's on and spread in seconds. One thing I would advise is don't rely on technique of putting a cross or a couple of dots on then placing the cooler on thinking it will evenly spread the grease. It doesn't work very well and doesn't cover some parts of the CPU. You need to physically spread the grease out until the CPU is totally covered before placing the cooler on.

World's smallest syringe, but a dab will do...

It's almost comical the size of the plunger and syringe which surprised me. I wasn't sure what to expect but perhaps something a little bigger ha. However, the fact of the matter is that you don't need much compound in the first place, and this brand/SKU is rated very highly by professionals so it's worth getting it to help cool your rigs CPU.

So for that reason this size is all you need, and the syringe size makes perfect sense, I'd honestly say this will give you 2 or 3 applications if you're good but botched your first go.

However, if you are uncertain or new to this, go onto a video streaming site and watch some clips on how to apply it properly to avoid wasting it. And you won't need to repurchase it, and perhaps have some iso ready in case you need to clean up a bit of a botched effort.
