Poor quality of silicone. After 2 months of using Otterbox case, very disappointed. Case is dark yellow now. I would not recommend.

I discovered my first ever OtterBox case almost 10 years ago when I accidently bought one for my old Blackberry. I immediately fell in love with the case (it was the Commuter series) as it looked incredible and was made of the most premium plastic I'd ever felt on a case. Back then, this was a big deal as I was relatively poor with little money and my most prized possession, and only possession of any real value was my Blackberry. Since that day, the only case I've ever used is OtterBox on any phone or tablet that I've owned.

I don't know what it is but lately, and over the past 2 years or so, every single OtterBox case I've purchased has been garbage. Whether iPhone, Samsung etc. - the quality has been very poor and the feel of the cases isn't the same anymore.

I recently bought a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and immediately went to buy this case, but also the Commuter Series and the Symmetry Series. This was due to my past bad experiences with OtterBox and the fact that I had hope that either one of them would be great and I could return the other two, or even keep them handy.

But all 3 cases were garbage. The Defender case is loose on the phone. It clicks every time I move the phone and I don't know whether it would scratch my phone over time, or even fall out. Plus the clips were really, really loose on the front cover.

So I tried the Commuter Series and because of the size of my phone, and the fact that the top is only covered by a small piece of plastic (the rest is rubber), every time I put my phone in my jeans pocket, when I pulled it out, the case would come off the phone and my phone fell on the floor once - luckily on carpet and a very small distance. There is a serious design flaw here.

Finally tried the Symmetry Series and the camera is higher than the case, so if I put the phone on the table the camera glass would touch the surface! But this was only in one corner, it's as if the case was slanted somehow inside.

On top of that, the quality of the plastic is now very bad in the Defender and also the Commuter. Only the Symmetry is good quality plastic but the case was flawed!

Given that this is not a random event, due to the number of cases I've tried, I can only assume that something is wrong at the factory. Either the business has grown so quickly that quality control is no longer a priority, or there have been some forms of cost reductions in the manufacturing process.

I'm really disappointed because OtterBox was always my "go to" but now it has to be the new brand - Mous. Check out their cases, they are incredible.

Although, sadly, and for some weird reason, I'll always yearn for an OtterBox - perhaps nostalgia or perhaps because I had such a reliable experience with the brand once upon a time.

I hope that they fix the quality control issues.

Sleek look and seems to be highly protective but the rubber has split from the hard plastic in less than a month. The phone is most often on a desk or the inside pocket of my jacket, thus there is no reason for wear and tear, especially this early. Highly disappointed with the quality of the product from a reputable brand.

After my previous phone protector broke i researched this one and having had one before decided to purchase this one. Fitted it correctly a thought very highly of it until yesterday when my phone was in my unzipped pocket and fell out from a height of just one foot hitting the floor resulting in a cracked screen! The protecting was non existent causing the sustained damaged after just 4 days!! I've had the phone for well over 3 years and was reluctant to upgrade to a new one as its so inconvenient when everything you need is on the phone. I'm guessing I'll have to suffer from getting new screen or going through the rigmarole of starting afresh with a new phone at a very expensive price and contract!? So I will never purchase one of these so called protection cases from Otter again. What have the suppliers got to say???

I had the exact style of case from otterbox for about 3 years before it finally broke around the rubber - i was happy enough with this as 3 years is also about the life of a phone. Unfortunately this time I've had the same problem as many other reviewers in that the rubber along the bottom of the case has come apart within one month. I've never taken the phone out of the case since putting it in so this is very disappointing. Clearly something has gone wrong for Otterbox here as I would usually highly rate their cases having used them for half a dozen phones over the last few years.

So unhappy with this case. The first day it went on my iphone X, I dropped the phone and it fell onto concrete surface (face up). The screen of my phone was fine but when I turned it over the whole glass back if my phone was smashed into pieces (still in the case!). This case offered zero protection to my phone from which fell from my hand to concrete (of less than one metre). I feel like I would have been better off buying a budget silicone case. Definitely don’t recommend

This phone care arrived in a box, but has clearly been used. It is disgusting.

It's discoloured, dirt is encrusted in the moulding, and corners are cracked. This case is obviously not as long lasting as the advert may appear, as this item shows.

Anti-Yellowing hmmm!

Apparently this item has Anti-Yellowing. I’ve had this less than a year and it’s gone almost brown in colour on the flexible rubber sections. Have just arranged to return it via Amazon since it’s under warranty. The case also scratches very easily on the hard plastic but I wasn’t as bothered about that, mostly annoyed with the crystal clear anti-yellowing statements!

I purchased this in January and by February it had already turned yellow. It is a very difficult case to put on or take off the phone as well, felt like I was going to bend my phone to get it out when I needed to change my SIM card. It also is very slippery, I've dropped my phone more since buying this case then I have actually ever dropped it before. I am used to the Defender range (amazing!) and thought this would be a nice upgrade to see my phone more clearly. I was wrong, and now I'm out a lot of money...

Useless and gone baggy around the edges now. Offers no protection. Otter box are supposed to provide a warranty. Great! Amazon just direct me to their website. Otterbix website directs me back to otterbox. Cant email otterbox as you need a valid order number . The amazon one isn’t a valid order number . How on earth do you actually use your warranty if you buy anything from amazon ?
