Good moulds but not silicone

Ok so first off, its not silicone but a hard plastic which is a bit disappointing. Nevertheless its still an excellent lolly set up. We are keen on lollies in our house and have tried a variety of moulds, which tip and spill, split or the bits get lost. This one is by far the best. Feels well made. We tend to leave the green base permanently in the bottom drawer of our fridge freezer. Because there are individual clear plastic moulds which slot into the green bit you can extract one easily, run quickly under the warm tap to release, quick clean and its ready to refill. The sticks fit in the clear mould tightly and work well with the lid part doubling as a drip tray when eating which is handy. My daughter enjoys eating the lollies but they are quite big and as shes only 4, not managed to eat a whole one yet.

This is a clever product, but the individual lolly casings don’t seem to perfectly fit the green stand which means you have to be careful when filling the mould. Rather irritatingly, the measurements of the item are wrong on the product description which meant it almost didn’t fit in my freezer (even though I’d measured carefully before purchasing it!). The assembled product measures 17.5cm high (ie including lolly sticks). The measurement on the description must only refer to the green stand.

Bad design, hard to get popsicles out

I ended up returning this. I hadn't realised that the stick only has one hole so the stick doesn't hold the popsicle on very well. It either pulls out leaving the popsicle in the case, or if you get the popsicle out in one piece, the popsicle falls off the stick as it starts to melt. It also drips terribly as there's no reservoir in the handle. There are better designs out there, such as IKEA's.

I bought these for little treats for the family during the hot weather. They are easy to use from making the ice lollies to eating them. They do take up quite a lot of space, so would recommend using in a large freezer, this is a 6 mould, I think there's a smaller one. I have a chest freezer which I put them in as they need to be level while freezing. Once frozen you can remove them from the holder and make more. Just ensure that they're properly solid, alcoholic ones may differ.

To release the lollies from the mould, run under hot water gently squeezing the silicon mould until it releases. Don't pull too hard or the stick may come out!

Perfect homemade ice lollies within 24 hours.

Its a pet peeve of mine when things are not advertised correctly. It says that the lollies don't need to be run under hot water. Yet it clearly shows in the instructions that it does. Also the silicone type inner moulds slip in to the base not especially tightly. It does help clean but it is not quite the impression that it gives.
Yes they work and yes they're not bad but unlike most other zoku things I was rather disappointed.

You do need to run them under the hot tap to get them out but this is a very good product. I’ve had a similar Zoku lolly maker for a few months...it’s in constant use and it’s still fine. I use that one for home made smoothies so that my son has some fruit (it’s the only way he’ll eat it!) and I’ve just bought this one for making fruit juice lollies because they’re so expensive to buy and I’ll have made the money for the moulds back in a couple of weeks.

Too tall to fit in a freezer

Huge disappointment. Too tall to fit in a regular sized freezer drawer. Don't buy unless you have a deep chest freezer. Also the design is not as accessible for kids as other silicone pop out designs. You have to remove, rinse for 30 seconds and slide out. Other zoku silicone ice pops you just pull straight out, which is ideal for little kids. So disappointing!!!

Tall lollies for a deep freezer drawer!

This products appears to be made well however I cannot comment on how well it makes lollies because my freezer drawers were too shallow! It was disappointing and I am afraid I can only give it three stars as I don’t think the whole structure really needs to be that big.

they are easy to use and work perfectly. the only issue i had was that in hot weather they melt faster then you can eat them leading to juice dripping down. To be fair I can't see this as a fault just the physics of how fast ice melts and would affect any similar product

Yes it’s not silicone, it’s plastic but it makes awesome lolly’s. I take it out the freezer and just hold it for a few seconds which makes it easy to then pull out of the sleeve. I like the way the top part connects to the sleeve (no spliage). Easy to clean and would recommend.
