You get this book in various sizes... but for me, this one was the perfect size for my daughter. She loves it!
It is a very beautiful and colorful book that helps young ones understand how a caterpillar develops into a butterfly!
Colorful and attractive book for babies and young toddlers, and a knowledgeful book for growing toddlers!

It’s a lovely book, my six month old granddaughter absolutely loves it.
I bought the same book for my daughter when she was a baby, and the book was bigger then, I could fit my finger in the holes to mimic the caterpillar - an important part of the storytelling. Can’t do it with this one, holes are minuscule.
Also, teething babies produce a lot of dribble. Even though I’ve rigorously cleaned the book, the pages have stuck together, and the print has damaged.
Shame it’s not of the quality it was all those years ago.
Regardless, and wonderful story thy infants enjoy time and time again.

What is it with this book? This is the all time, number one greatest book my daughter has got. Its something about the artwork and the holes (from the caterpillar munching) that fascinates her. I have to read the same page to her hundreds of times.... hundreds I tell you!

I love this little book! Its a must-read for all young children. Its so cute, well illustrated, colourful, easy to follow and exciting for toddlers learning to count! I loved it as a child and think every little child should read it. The size of the book that i received was slightly bigger than i remember/imagined. The quality is perfect. Very happy with this purchase.

We love Eric Carle’s books and this one is a classic. The art work is amazing. Engages both babies and adults but is so educational at the same time ! Teaches your counting, days f the week, names of fruits, life cycle of a butterfly and so much more! My son loves reading books and this one is one of his favourites. This book comes with us to drives, restaurants, shopping or whenwe go to meet friends.
Do check out other books of Eric Carle’s - brown bear brown bear what do you hear and polar bear polar bear what do you see. A must buy for children.

This is a small box gift. I wasn’t overly impressed looking at it but amazon have made returns a bit difficult now so I decided to keep it upon opening the soft toy is small and the book is the part I am most disappointed with... the outside of the book is hard the pages are paper the writing is small and the holes are small too I wouldn’t buy this as a gift nor would I have kept it ideally not ideal for small children. Dissapointed in this product.

Tiny! Not at all happy with size. Need to make it clear that it is a miniature version of the book. Couldn't be bothered to send it back as we needed a book for the little ones birthday. Burdened with an unwanted book but it is ok she was still chuffed to bits with it

To my surpize it was delivered as a magazine format with very thin paper pages, absolutely impossible to handle for my nearly 2 year old. I was very disappointed , a waste of money. The book got destroyed within few touches - in my opinion the seller has to show clearly which type of book they are selling , if i knew before its a simple magazine id never buy it. I know the book from friends and tht kids love it usually due to uts nice content and set up

Delighted when book arrived as I had seen previous reviews about the poor quality. The book was perfect! It was great quality, no issues with the print. Bright and colourful illustrations and very clear print. It is a small book but it's aimed at babies and toddlers so perfectly suitable. The little caterpillar was well made and very colourful. Not sure if safe/suitable for little babies but a great prop for the adult to use when sharing the story. The shop price was on the back of the box too which makes it very good value. Bought for a gift. Very happy with purchase.

LOVED IT LOVED IT, AS DID THE KIDS.
I work in a Coffee Shop and to try and do something different, I do children's readings once a month. The latest was the very hungry caterpillar. I drew a big collage and got the kids to colour it in, there was a couple of caterpillars, 3D words the very hungry caterpillar , all the fruits were in there, and the cakes, cheese etc., An individual little drawing of the very hungry caterpillar for each child.The best part of the afternoon for me was the children eating all the fruit, cakes, cheese, and other items I had bought so they could join in the story. All the children joined in and so many of them knew all the words by heart.

If you are dubious about this book, please do not be, it is an enjoyable story, but can also be very educational as well.
