Bought two of these recently. One after a family member contracted covid and wanted to keep an eye on oxygen levels. Thankfully the readings were always in a safe range. I also bought one for my parents to keep and eye on their oxygen levels. My father's o2 level dropped down to below 70 so my mother called the doctor who recommended an ambulance. When the paramedic got there he confirmed the drop in oxygen and was able to give my father some oxygen. Without this device it could have meant the severity of the situation not bein spotted. 100% trust this device.

Fans of Monty Python will remember the 'Machine that goes ping'. Thirty years ago I first encountered such a machine in the operating theater. In fact, in those days there were several machines that went 'ping' but the most important was a 'pulse oximeter' or pulse-ox for short.

In those days a pulse-ox cost several thousands of pounds and was restricted to hospitals.

However recently, needing a pulse-ox to monitor a relative on CPAP, I was surprised to find the prices had fallen and I could order on Amazon.

The issue of course was which one to order. I selected this one on the basis it was popular but I thought it might be a cheap gimmick. In fact I was wrong.

It arrived promptly, and worked straight out of the box. It works simply and is easy to use. Obviously it is hard to confirm the accuracy without lab equipment but it appears to work well. Even my elderly relatives can use it without any hassle. Very impressed - and remarkable at the price. Now if only I could make it go 'ping'.

I purchased this to use to monitor blood oxygen saturation during the Covid outbreak. The batteries fit into the cover which slips open on the back of the machine - make sure you get the correct polarity - it is not obvious and a separate slip of paper outlines how the batteries fit. The oximeter is easy to use. Just clip it onto the top of one of your fingers so that your finger nail is right in the oximeter then press the button on the top. After about five seconds of pulsing the readout records blood oxygen and pulse rate. it continues to read out whilst it is on your finger. I have then tried out the oximeter on other fingers and the readings were constant.

We ordered this for my husband, who has tested it out and is very pleased. He had been using a phone app but was not convinced it was reliable, however that would be a good option out of the house.

The oximeter is nicely compact and came with batteries, but we would use rechargeable batteries in it when those run out. As often as he uses it the results are very clear and helps him to check his blood oxygen level and monitor his health. This is very useful for someone with asthma.

We are also pleased that the oximeter came with minimal packaging. The delivery was within a couple of days although we did not ask for a rush order.
We did not receive any discount or incentive. This is an unbiased review.

This is a lightweight compact item which I used to monitor heart rate during cardiac recovery exercise sessions. It is durable and easy to read. My unit failed five months after purchase, but I had stunningly good customer service from the supplier Ana Wiz Ltd. I contacted them by email via Amazon and they immediately sent a new replacement by courier at no charge. Highly recommended.

I have severe asthma and my oxygen levels keep dropping. This is great to keep an eye on it. It’s easy to use just pop it on your finger and press the button. I find it is very accurate and easy to read. I even went to my doctors the other day and used it during my appointment and the doctor said that it was a very handy thing to have and it was good that not only could he see what my levels were at he could also see what my heart rate was. This is definitely great value for money.

One sign of excellent service is how problems are dealt with. The item arrived next day, which was remarkable during lockdown. However, i couldn't get it to work, although I was sure I had done everything correctly. Before packing it up for return, I thought I would call the number given. Instant, cheerful response. It seems that the batteries are put in in a very eccentric way (not explained in the directions) that would never be guessed. Problem solved. Tip: put the device under good light and follow the "plus" and "minus" signs formed in the plastic - they aren't what you would expect!

Was pleasantly surprised to receive this so quickly as the predicted date was in over a months time. I only wanted to buy this one as the exact same version is used by the NHS in their hospitals and doctors surgeries. It came with batteries so was ready to go straight out of the box. Set up is also very straight forward. It's accurate and good to use as an indicator of oxygen levels but like other reviewers have mentioned, it will need regular calibration to stay as accurate as the ones in the hospitals.
Came with a plastic protective cover, a pouch and lanyard.
Overall very pleased with the purchase.

Very handy and good to use. Very easy to use just press button and have to wait for few seconds to get reading of blood oxgyen and heart rate. Readings compared to hospital slightly below hospital reading by very minor difference if 2-3 readings. So happy with it being accurate. As readings do go up and down as you would expect. Comes with rubber case which is no good as too loose.. but using the carry case which is perfect and safe guards it from damage.

Got this for a close friend who lives alone who was tested COVID positive last week - their coughing was appalling and being a stoic type would have just carried on with being ill. Got this, tested it and dropped off on their doorstep - 1 hour later they are in hospital having had measured an 02 saturation level of just 88% with this little £20 device - phew .
