Really cant recommend this doorbell. Seems unfinished and flawed.
For a start its much larger than it looks in the pictures.
If you power it off and on again for whatever reason, you have to wait 10mins to come back and a message appears on the screen. I found this out when positioning it for install and unplugging it. So if you have a power cut, your doorbell wont work straight after power is returned!
The motion alerts keep going off even though Ive set an activity zone away from the area that is alerting from.
After the 3 month smart trial, the doorbell wont record to the hub and you wont be able to see any video recording unless you renew your subscription, meaning it will just be an expensive doorbell. This is not the same as the usual Arlo cameras where they do record to the hub and you can view your recordings on the app Without any form of subscription. So why is the video doorbell different?? A ploy to get customers to buy a monthly plan that’s why.
Dishonest and unethical if you ask me. I shall be returning mine to Amazon as its not fit for purpose.
