Secondly, the electric counter wasn't operating as described in the manual (must have had some spec 'improvements') so you had to figure out how it worked. Also the red button was recessed at a steep angle instead of horizontal (and sometimes operated erratically or on its own) and when I fixed the button after opening it up, it didn't stay that way and returned to its original state very quickly.
The third point is despite me being well within the 100kg weight capacity stated by over 20%, the front leg snapped while in use making it totally useless. On inspecting this break, it was apparently that it was made with cheap and weak plastic and needed more reinforcement. The plastic from the broken part bent far too easily and was not designed correctly.
It offers the minimum needed resistance; if it offers more, then it's unworkable in practice, as trying to use it at a higher resistance than I am would rock it about instead. This is not a fault of the product. It's a limitation of the size of the product. If you want a peddle bike, it can't offer more effective resistance than this without being too big. Not being too big is part of the point of the product. So by striking the correct balance between a decent resistance and size, the product has been made well.
The product doesn't slip on a carpet. The product may rock or move sometimes, but this is again a limitation of its size and weight. If you spend £40 on a 2KG flywheel, of course it will rock and move a little. If you want it to never move and thus provide more resistance you need the kind of flywheel found in an exercise bicycle which is far bigger and heavier, and far more costly (£100-400), with the sophistication of a chain.
For its price and size it is making my heart race, unlike a cheaper one I bought in the past which had no resistance or flywheel whatsoever, and so I am happy with it.
Remember to turn the resistance knob almost as far as it will go, or it will be too easy. You should have it near the maximum it will go because anything else is too easy, even for me who has been doing no exercise for months with the weakest muscles imaginable. While the top setting provides the minimum needed resistance for me, I could understand someone who is disabled wanting less due to their injuries.
I did not read to see if the knob has settings, but they really don't matter, because you may as well put it up almost as far as it will go. Some reviews wondered how the computer was measuring distance - that just doesn't matter either. Exercise is best done as a lifestyle (doing it when you feel like it) rather than as a scheduled chore, and so measuring it would defeat that. If I measure it I do so in time taken.
I don't know that this would work for someone who wants to be a serious bodybuilder, but for someone who is otherwise inactive it should give you that basic muscle and heart race that increases your mood, motivation and feeling of being healthy and ontop of things. Perfect for gamers, couch potatoes, people with disabilities, the elderly and people trying to rehab with some light exercise.
The setup was easy. The only part I found difficult was screwing the legs in with the washers. If I hadn't bothered with the washers, it would have been easy. I am still unsure of the point of washers when so many other products do not bother with them. I did not figure out how to use the spanner on the peddles, but did not need to. I just twisted them into the holes with my bare hands (which took a while) and it worked fine.
Ideal for what I wanted but the noise means it cannot be used when watching anything.
The monitor also appears rather arbitrary more as an afterthought than part of the design..
You get time used and if you reset anything this goes back to zero but not everytime you use itso it builds up and gives an idea of how much time in a week or month you have used it.
Noise is beginning to worry me so may need to return and replace.
The distance is irrelevant as nowhere does it say what the measurement is. Being German I guess it is metric but it could be yards, miles or even furlongs for all I know.
Then you get 2 sets of revoltions done. One is the total ever done on the machine and can only be reset by taking the battery out. The other can be reset by pressing the reset button....that then resets everything except the total pedal revolutions....as I said arbitrary.
Finally you see its best guesstimate of how many calories you have used.
Personally I would prefer to know the total calories burnt since buying than pedal revolutions but it is what it is.
So without the clunking a four stars with better thought on the display read out five star.

It broke on the 18th of March 2020
I bought this because I’d had an operation on my arm
I wanted something to get some strength back
From the start it never worked right
Every time you turned the resistance knob
And started using it it started to move
Tried all sorts of things to try and stop it
But I did not
I’ve got it on the table
Using it and it just flew out of my hands
And landed on the floor and one of the plastic legs smashed off
It was a waste of money
