Let me clarify the headline. The Pro 3 camera will connect to the base station that comes with the Pro 2 cameras, but it is very, very slow to connect. When you select Live view it takes at least 4 longer to connect than Pro 2's. It also drops the connection very frequently.
When you install a new Pro3 camera you can avoid enrolling to the Arlo Smart system (3 month trial). This means that you have to set the Pro3 to provide a notification when it is activated, even if you are using the free 7-day recording system that is included in the Pro 2 camera system and previous systems. Really annoying when you only want notifications when you are away.
So if you have an existing set-up with Pro 2 cameras or earlier, then do not advance to Pro 3 or later. It is such a shame because the original system was excellent.
