These stands are great and well worth the money for older models, but since upgrading to a new shape 2021 MacBook, I have found the fit is pretty poor and the manufacturer still hasn’t released new inserts so have stopped using it.
They also state on their website that the current model isn’t compatible with the new 14” and 16” MacBooks, but have said on twitter insert F works (albeit with a tight fit) which is inconsistent and confusing.
I tried insert F and found after prolonged use over a couple of days my MacBook lid sticks to the body causing a lot of stress on the rubber seal when opening it.
For this reason I’ve knocked a few stars off, the manufacturer boasts about future compatibility on their website and only needing to buy new inserts when new MacBook models are released (rather than a whole new stand), we are now a few months after release of a new model without any sign of new inserts so this is a huge let down. I now just have this sat in a drawer as a result as it’s useless.
