Heel comfortabele matras, intussen nog maar eenmaal gebruikt, maar een van de beste nachtrusten die ik in vergelijking met duurdere matrassen heb gehad.. Heel comfortabel.. Voor de zijslapers onder ons ideaal-door de 10cm dikte voel je de grond niet.. Blaas hem niet te hard op voor de meeste comfortabele rust... De 'gebogen rand' voor het niet van de matras afrollen werkt echt goed... De matras lijkt een beetje smal, maar hier heb je geen last van.. De R-waarde is niet zo hoog, maar met een goede isolatiemat en slaapzak tijdens koudere maanden werkt deze perfect voor de kleine prijs.. Aan te raden!

Niet bedoelt voor "wild-camping" oid. Materiaal is daarvoor misschien niet sterk genoeg. Heb er wel een paar dagen mee op ondergrond van grind gelegen. Dit gaf geen problemen. Maar het is geen heavy-duty matras zoals bv; term-a-rest heeft. Wel lekker licht en compact. Comfortabeler dan de eerder genoemde term-a-rest. Maar wel een luchtmatras; dus blazen. En niet de paar keer die je in de advertentie ziet. Gewoon even een minuutje of twee vol blazen.

Little review
Recently I gifted myself with a Trekology mat and I thought I will share /compare my experience so far. I'm a side sleeper and on top of that I have damaged shoulder so finding a comfortable mat was a bit challenging. Nevertheless, I had one night sleep on that mat, in the tent, on some grass/stone soil (so not too perfect but perfect for a trail) and I can honestly say it was one on the best nights sleep I had in the tent. There is few pointers :
1. Is not self-inflating but it only takes 2 min to do it (or less if you have good lungs). It has that blocking system (no clue how you call it, have a look on the pictures) so is really easy to do the job.
2. Stayed up all night
3. Nice and high, I slept on my side and didn't touched the ground
4. The sided are slightly higher. Absolutely brilliant!! Finally I stopped rolling of the mat. That thing really worked!!
5. Nice good length
6. Folds really fast and easy
7. Small and light
8. The only "negative" (if someone could be bothered with that): mat is a bit noisy. But tbh once you gone, doesn't matter.

I ordered mine on Amazon for £40 and I'm very happy with my product.

I added few photos and compared with Thermarest Prolite.
Trekology is aboug 120g lighter and a lot smaller.

Deflation Problems.

I purchased the Trekology UL80 Mat in May 2020 after reading and watching numerous reviews on YouTube etc.
I used the mat on a couple of wild camping trips in the Lake District. Initially the mat performed well. Really comfortable, probably the most comfortable mat I have used whilst out wild camping.
Then during a recent overnighter in Wales I found the mat had deflated about a quarter of the air during the night. I re inflated the mat and kept my fingers crossed that the problem may of been caused by temperature change during the night.
I slept on the mat for a second night and again in the morning the mat had deflated this time by about half the air and I was bottoming out on the ground when I awoke.
I checked the mattress for a puncture but it appears the mattress is leaking from the seams.
I then looked at previous reviews on Amazon and a number of them mention slow deflation problems with the mattress during the night.
I will not be replacing this mattress with another Trekology UL80. A shame really as it was a comfortable mattress when first used.
I will be investing in a Thermarest Xtherm mattress.
Another few points you may wish to consider before buying the UL80.
It has little or no insulation. Fine for the summer but the weather is changing.
The mattress takes a lot of blowing up which is tough after a long climb to your pitch. Trekology do not sell a separate inflation bag for the UL80, I know because I asked them. On a positive note the mat is easy to deflate when not leaking and pack away in its sack.
Just thought I would give an honest review of this product after testing it outdoors as some reviews only cover unboxing and first impressions.
Maybe I was just Just unlucky but I am not prepared to take the risk and buy another UL80.

I am outdoor education teacher and recommend this mat to my students, I have had a few mats over the years and the Trekology UL mat is probably the best I have used for comfort, in the past I have woken up finding I have slid off other mats in my sleep, but always wake up on this mat. It is a very lightweight mat and I am 6ft 4 tall and I fit on the mat well, it is comfortable and keeps me warm away from the cold ground as I have used the mat in all seasons.
the R value says it is around 2.6 but I think more towards 4, the thickness of the mat fully inflated is around 10cm.
I would suggest buying the air bag for inflating as it can take awhile blowing up using own lungs.
The only downside I have had is more my lightweight tent than the mat, as I am tall and the height of the mat lifts me up a little more than my previous mat, it means my sleeping bag/quilt footbox is against the slope of the inner tent now. so something to bear in mind - so better with boxed tents - but a 9.9 out of 10 for me - Andy

Purchased this sleeping pad two days ago. It arrived the next day and that evening I put the tent up and slept on it that night.

Firstly let me say how brilliantly comfortable this pad is. It's depth meant that no part of my body was touching the ground. No bottoming out here I can assure you. I normally like to sleep on my side. But tried it laying on my back too. Both were very comfortable on this pad which is a first for me.
I didn't hear much noise or crinkle and felt no cold from the floor either.... Though to be fair it was quite a warm night anyway.

In the past 24 hours I've had this pad now I can only mark it down for two reasons. Firstly... It doesn't come with a pump sack. So unless you have one with the same fitting valve. Then your going to be blowing this up from your mouth which isn't ideal.
Update: I did find a pumosack for this bed but it's quite expensive compared to this bed. Checkout the Exped Schnozzel.

Secondly its quite narrow. So if you do lay on your back then your arms will be in the floor and not the pad. Though I did just zip the sleeping back up to the top. Slide my hands down so that the sleeping bag kept my arms aloft and off the ground. But it was quite a warm night. The sleeping bag wasn't really nessesary. So I slept on my side again. So yeah negative points are that's it is a little narrow and no pump sack... Which if one was included I'd have happily paid more for.

On the plus points..... This is without question the most comfortable sleeping pads I have ever tried. It is incredibly comfortable. Hardly makes any noise and is worth it just for that. Yes I would buy another one despite the two negative points I mentioned earlier... The quality of sleep I got from this was worth it.
It also packs down really small and the bag it comes in doesn't mean you have to squeeze every molecul of air out of it to get it in its bag. It also comes with an elasticated band to keep it compact too. Which isn't always the case with products like this.
Overall I'm very happy with this product.

Update: I've now spent more nights on this pad and using the Exped Schnozzel pump sack to inflate it is almost effortless.
I still say that it's one of the best pads I have ever used and I prefer it to my other camping beds.
This pad is worth it because finding one that is small, lightweight and comfortable is a gem.
We have booked a family camping trip and whilst everyone else is using huge, possibly over sized camping beds. I will be using this. It just works and yes despite its lack of width is the most comfortable bed/pad I've tried.
Just don't inflate it too much or you won't feel the benefits and will feel like you've slept on the bare floor anyway.

I ordered one of these early last year and within a few uses it deflated during the night so I asked Trekology how to fix this and they sent a new one which after 3 nights use was deflating during the night again.
I heard soany good reviews about this mat that I thought I was just very unlucky. So I bought another one not so long ago when it was on offer and managed to get 2 uses out of it before it deflated during the night again.
Annoying because I took such great care of this last one to make sure nothing could deflate it. I used another mat underneath to protect the bottom part and made sure no clothing or my sleeping back had anything that could damage it.
I have lost all faith in Trekology products now.

I took this mat with me on my bike up to the lakes. Only used it for one night as a tester for my touring holiday next month. I found it supremely comfortable. It packs up very small and is very light. The slightly raised sides means i didn't roll off the mat. I will definately be taking it on my tour and it will be replacing my thermarest self inflating mattress. I also found it very quick to inflate, even without a pump. I suffer from back and hip problems, and this really worked for me. I would recommend it to anyone.

Brilliant mat for the price

I have purchased this mat for the intentions of wild camping around Scotland all year round. When ever possible I try to summit camp and quite often I’m faced with uneven sloped ground.

I have now used this mat a good few times on rough terrain and I’m honestly really impressed. Although the R-Value is quite low, and I’m yet to test it in winter conditions, I feel like it will perform quite well. It’s really thick at 10cm and provides decent insulation from the ground. The main attribute of this mat however, is it’s comfort. It’s really comfortable. The thickness combined with the concave surface (which at first seemed slightly gimmicky) actually aids in comfort. The mat is long and accommodates me and my pillow really well. Time will tell how long this mat will hold but it seems well made. The valve is really nice and makes inflation and especially deflation really easy. Bear in mind though that since the mat is quite big, it will take a good few puffs to blow it up completely, a pump sack would be useful.

So that’s my brief overview, I will come back to write how it performs in the winter and if it stands the test of time :D

Very comfortable sleeping pad with really good height. Didnt touch the ground at all even when turning. This thing packs down very small too and is really light so I'm really pleased with it!
