Very disappointed in this mat. It is light and easy to inflate and provided you do not move it is comfortable. Once you do move however, it slips from underneath very easily and as it is quite narrow you spend a lot of the night wrestling it back into position. Also, if your lying on a slope, you will slide down the slope when lying on the mat - it’s that slidey.

Light and well worth the money

Apart from the fact that this mat deflates during the night, it’s still the best mat I’ve owned. I’m on a 4400 mile cycle ride around the UK coast and have used it nearly every night for the last three months. I recommend you also buy the usb charged inflator that is also pictured. It’s fast and prevents the build up of any mould inside because of the moisture in your breath. I use a very cheap (£1) windscreen cover from the Pound Shop to stop thorns. There are no holes in my mat, but air now escapes slowly during the night, so I keep the Pumteck blower on hand. Before leaving on the journey, I tested it on the mat and it inflates the mat twenty one times before it needs a charge. I know this isn’t a review for the pump but…..
The mat is well worth the money.

I’m downgrading this item from 5 stars to 1 star. I had such high hopes for this mattress, I left it a stellar review - see below. Other reviewers complained that their mattress didn’t stay up, so I thought I was being cunning by blowing it up in advance and leaving it in the spare room for a couple of days to make sure it didn’t have any leaks. This test worked, or so I thought. I’ve just returned from a 2 night camping trip where on both nights I went to sleep on a fully blown mattress and woke up on the floor as it had deflated slowly over the course of a couple of hours. This meant I had to blow up the mattress, which is quite a loud process in the middle of the night, only to get a couple more hours sleep to be woken up again on the floor. I read the instructions prior to using and took care not to over fill it. I even convinced my friends to buy them, one didn’t have an issue and my other friend had a similar issue to me. I’ll be contacting Trekology to let them know and I’ll update you on my experience with customer service.

Update 2: Amazon took the item back without any hassle at all for a full refund. On reflection, there’s a reason why this mattress is a fraction of the price of others. Whilst I like the trekology brand, ultimately it’s still a cheap brand and on this occasion it let me down. Sleep is SO important, I won’t be buying replacement item from trekology, I’ll upgrade to a more premium product.

Review prior to actually using it:

What value for money !! I have no experience of air beds really, but this really is great. The quality is great, it’s comfortable, it packs down really small and it lightweight. When I bought it I blew it up and left it for 48 hours just to make sure that it holds air, which it did.

If you don’t buy this you’re crazy. It’s so good, my other friends bought it too.

Excellent but no compatible pump sack takes it down a star or 2

Have given 3 star for ease of inflation because it is supplied without a pump sack and little to no information on valve size etc. It states to use a standard electric inflator pump but quite how you can do that on the top of a hill miles from any mains or vehicle power completely boggles the mind. The mat is excellent in every other sense and if it came with a pump sack or links to a suitable such device in the budget category to suit, it'd be worthy of universal 5 stars in all regards. Unfortunately, having bought, you're left to it and that's a major flaw imho.
Anyway, it's pack size is tiny, substantial space in the drawstring bag for pump sack, foil ground sheet etc and it's pretty light. Have spent last night on it and it easily coped with my 110k weight, no leaks and speedy inflation/deflation etc. As a standalone product, it's a dream product at the price but Trekology, sort out the inflation pump issue! It would cost nothing to supply info pointing to a suitable pumpsack that fits at a suitable price point. Maybe supply/manufacture one to suit.
Right, back on the hunt for a compatible pump sack...

Been using a much thinner sleeping pad. Recently, seen a few trusted reviews for this product on YouTube.
Could not justify £145 for Thermorest but wanted something comfortable, reasonably lightweight and compact. This fits the bill for three season backpacking.
Very comfortable for a side sleeper. You start with a 10cm air pocket beneath you before compression this combined with an anti-roll raised sides and generous width and length should deliver a quality night sleep.
Really impressed with material quality, impotantly it inflates quickly using Treckology 30 ltr air bag. It takes between 6 and 7 fills much better than blowing into bed which adds vapour into bed which will degrade the bed in time.
Deflation is quick and bed folds into bag easily including the inflation roll bag but will use the bag to waterproof the sleeping bag.
I cannot comment on insulation improvement this offers due to both lockdown and current negative night temperatues but will test overnight once the night temperatures get back to around 5C or 6C.

This is by far the most comfortable sleep mat I have ever used and will definitely be my go to sleep mat from now on. It is everything you need for a backpacking trip. Small, Light and comfortable.
I know some people have said they've had issues with them deflating overnight but I've not found that to be the case with my one.
Although it looks too long for my tent in the picture I've added, it did actually fit in the sleep area perfectly and also fits perfectly into my OEX Phoxx 2 V2 solo tent.
I would suggest you use this mat with an insulating layer underneath such as a foil blanket or something similar or you may well feel the cold from underneath in cooler weather but if used with an insulating layer you will have a good and comfortable nights sleep.
I've seen it said by other owners that they think it takes a lot to inflate it and that you should really use an inflation bag or a pump. I say that's just not necessary. They say you wouldn't want to be blowing into it after hiking up a hill but I think we'd all be taking 5 or 10 minutes to get our breath back anyway after a hike uphill and the mat inflates very easily with lung power so don't let those other reviews put you off.
All in all as I've said I think it's the perfect mat for any camper / backpacker.

It's light enough but I wouldn't call it ultralight, but for the price, it's about as good as you'll get.
Next day delivery with amazon prime was a selling point for me as I needed something quick, but cheap, to replace my thermarest.
Pros- it compacts small, same size as my thermarest.
It keeps you off of the ground, and the shape keeps you from rolling off the sides.
I am 5'11 and had plenty of length and width.

Cons- the valve is a bit dubious, twice I pulled it out as I was blowing the may up, and I think over time it will soften and begin to leak air. Their pillow design valve feels a lot stronger.
There is no insulation and so this makes it a late spring, summer, and early autumn mat only, because of the height you need two foam mats if using in the winter IMO.

In summary, I wish I had waited a little longer, and spent a lot more, and gone with another thermarest or other mat at their price, and quality range.

Nice sleep but goes down

These are a really good night sleep however they do not stay inflated over night. The 1st one I purchased was good for 1 night camping after that it kept going down. Trekoligy sent me a new mattress so I made sure this was good to go. I inflated it before camp and left in my cupboard 24 hours. After 24 hours it was still fully inflated so took it out on my first camp. I made sure the ground was clear of any sharp objects due to having a bad night sleep from the other one I purchased. So my 2nd camp mattress all the ground was clear of any sharp object, thorns glass and so forth although I couldn't find any as I was sleeping on grass but still I had a ground sheet and a 2nd mattress to keep the cold of my body from the ground. After just 3 hours I had to inflate it again, and again at 4 am. They are a very good night sleep but after my 2nd mattress I will not be using again although both of them are useless now anyway.

Faulty after 6 weeks of use

After using these (I bought 2) nightly for 6 weeks both have now failed and slowly deflate in a few hours. There are no holes anywhere so I can only assume they are leaking air either from the valve or the seals. I can't find out how to return them either. Very unhappy and £80 down. They should last a lot longer than 6 weeks! They were used on top of Robens zigzag mats so we're off the ground to avoid any punctures. Clearly they just aren't very good. Maybe the compa y could contact me to try and sort something out? I really really need replacements but not any UL80's again after my experience.

Edit: Trekology have said they will refund me (6th October 2021). I will update this again either way.

Edit 2: Trekology refunded me without issue, money is in the bank (8th October 2021). I gave it 1 star originally, I've upped it to 2 purely because the customer service was actually very good. Its a shame the product isn't as good as their customer service.

Wonderful nights sleep on a Bushcraft Course

So easy to blow up without a bag/pump. Super comfy and was warm and cozy on a Bushcraft course in the woods when it got down to 3c one night. Didn't roll off it in the night and when lying on side hips didn't touch to the ground underneath. No deflation issues and stayed fully inflated for all four nights. An awesome mattress for a really good price. I did wonder if the sleeping bag would just slide/slip/slither off the pad in the night but everything stayed in place. The slightly raised edges really helped I think. 100% recommend this beautiful bit of equipment. Happy Camper :-)
