The most boring badly written popular science book I have ever read. Low on fact, high on boring storiers about his "research" about the subject and the writing of the book and irrelevant detail about people he met. He tries and fails crashingly to inject some humour and thinks we will all laugh if he writes lots in BIG LETTERS. The worst non-fiction book ever.

I can honestly say I’ve loved ever moment with this book (even some of the grislier parts). It’s a wonderful exploration of the wonderful world of sex throughout the animal kingdom and the larger question surrounding it.
If you are after a roller coaster of laughs and good science, look no further. Jules is a genius.

Charming, witty, appealing...science book!!! Jules Howard shares his wonder at the sex life of animals with us, as he observes some fascinating, endearing and downright weird encounters. As a committed reader of fiction, I would never have expected to enjoy a non-fiction book on nature so much, but thanks to Jules' down to earth style and the journey that he takes, I LOVED Sex on Earth.
