Not worth the money

Having used kettlebells quite extensively, I wanted a 20kg for home swinging. Got tempted by the low price of these, but it's not worth it. The handle is really thin, so if you have big hands it's difficult to grip. The handle's also really noarrow, so my hands won't fit in side by side.
Worse though is the finish of the handle, which has sharp casting burrs on the underside, especially in the corner of the handle. Your first swings with one of these will probably be your last.
Returning it, and will go with Mirafit, which are only a fiver more at the same weight and perfectly finished.
Would give it one star, but the weight was spot on 20kg, so it gained one more for that!

As far as heavy balls of steel go, these are very good quality. The finish is solid and doesnt show any indication that it will rust in a hurry and is as comfortable on the hands as you will get without a neoprene cover. The handle is big enough for me to swing them confidently and I have large hands. The variety in weight is comprehensive and I have purchased 3 of them to go with the range of movements I want to use them for. You can almost excercise any muscle group with them and are versitile enough to remove the need for big weight rigs you find in the local gym. They look as good as any i've seen in the gym and were competetively priced. I would recommend these and see no reason to search further if your good with the current price!

Finish Is Disappointing

Purchased the 12kg kettlebell.

Read in another review about issues with possible sharp bits on the finish, so the first thing I did when it arrived was unbox it and check the finish........and lo and behold, what did I find? There was a big bit where it looks like either the finish was never applied or it has come off.....to be honest, I really don't mind the finish from a cosmetic point of view because, after all, it's a kettlebell and it's functional not aesthetic......but what I do care about were the little raised sharp bits I found in multiple places when I ran my hand over the grips.....little sharp bits are really NOT acceptable as I don't want to cut my hand while I'm using it. This really should not have passed basic quality control.

I'm not going to send it back because it's heavy and it'll be a pain to ship, so I got some sandpaper and filed the handle down to remove the little sharp bits.....but the issue is the fact the the consumer should not have to be finishing off the product for the manufacturer, especially after I paid what I consider to be a premium price for a kettlebell. At the end of the day it's a shaped lump of metal, it shouldn't be hard to manufacture to a decent standard.

This is not the first kettlebell I have bought and I've never had any issues with the others that I've purchased/ used over the years, but those were from other manufacturers.

It was packaged really well so I believe the damage is a manufacturer issue and not a damaged in transit issue.

For the reasons I have pointed out above, I will NOT be purchasing any more kettlebell s from this manufacturer and neither can I recommend them to others.

I bought the 16kg bell about 10 days ago and I recieved it about 7 days ago, well done Amazon, all for standard delivery in the Republic of Ireland.

As for the product, it seems sturdy, it has a nice finish and by comparison to other products it is very comfortable in the hand for those not using gloves. As I was and continue to follow a very strict regime from the beginning of January I thought I would push myself with a slightly heavier version than many would recommend.

In hindsight this may have been a mistake as I am unable to do many of the exercises this item excels in, however with that said, I am noticing that it is ever so slightly easier to use every day. I would recommend 2 different weights, probably 8kg and 12kg/16kg, it is a simple well made device which will have results that roughly correlate to the effort put in.

Cannot fault it, 5 stars.

The size of the handle means I can only really get three fingers on each hand in, not ideal. I'm an average size male and wear a UK large in gloves if that helps.
The handle had a rough patch on it where the casting had not been cleaned up properly; that's basic quality control and just not good enough. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of sending it back to I got the tools out and filed it smooth myself, but that really shouldn't have been necessary. If I hadn't done that I would have ended up with cuts on my hands.
I won'y buy this brand again.

This is a superb kettlebell. I bought the 16k on this occasion as I am only just recommencing after several years not using kb's at all. It is lovely and smooth with a very good feel and nice thick broad handle. If people are worried about the physical size it is actually slightly smaller than the 5k vinyl kb's they sell in Lidl! The paint finish is nice and glossy and does not leave stains and marks on the floor [unlike some other brands].

There's really not a lot you can say though other than it's a lovely smooth hunk of iron with a nice handle! I will be sticking to this make/brand as I slowly rebuild my kb collection pretty much from scratch.

Oh yeah, the price is pretty excellent too!

Very well made, extremely well packaged product. Whilst reviewing a kettlebell is quite hard as it is just a lump of metal with a handle on it, this one is definitely better than others I have bought. It is finished very well, with no rough edges and looks very smart. It is packaged superbly, with no hint of damage or movement. Whilst this may seem like a moot point, these items are heavy for the average delivery driver, and as they roll around in a van, other kettlebells I have ordered in the past have destroyed their own flimsy packaging in transit. No such issues here.

It could do with slightly more grip on the handle, but I think this is a problem that they all have in common.

Will be ordering the 16kg one soon!

Nice solid kettlebell

8kg Kettlebell might be a tad heavy to start with for an old codger like me but I can do most exercises with it. It's a nice Hammerite type finish solid cast iron bell so nothing to go wrong .
It did have slight casting flashing on the handle so I've knocked a point off the score for that as it does rub my hands. Needs filing or grinding off and repainting but it really isn't bad enough for that, just could be slightly better.

Like it! Few pros:
- narrow handle, perfect for women (see picture, out of 3 kettles I have, this one is the smallest handle, which makes a big difference when I hold the bell, so I would say design is ladies friendly!)
- surface is slightly ‘rough’ so it is not too slippery (more slippery than the coated kettle tho)
- good design of the handle
Overall good kettle!
One drawback because of which I reduce the star:
It can scratch the floor :(
