I discovered my first ever OtterBox case almost 10 years ago when I accidently bought one for my old Blackberry. I immediately fell in love with the case (it was the Commuter series) as it looked incredible and was made of the most premium plastic I'd ever felt on a case. Back then, this was a big deal as I was relatively poor with little money and my most prized possession, and only possession of any real value was my Blackberry. Since that day, the only case I've ever used is OtterBox on any phone or tablet that I've owned.

I don't know what it is but lately, and over the past 2 years or so, every single OtterBox case I've purchased has been garbage. Whether iPhone, Samsung etc. - the quality has been very poor and the feel of the cases isn't the same anymore.

I recently bought a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and immediately went to buy this case, but also the Commuter Series and the Symmetry Series. This was due to my past bad experiences with OtterBox and the fact that I had hope that either one of them would be great and I could return the other two, or even keep them handy.

But all 3 cases were garbage. The Defender case is loose on the phone. It clicks every time I move the phone and I don't know whether it would scratch my phone over time, or even fall out. Plus the clips were really, really loose on the front cover.

So I tried the Commuter Series and because of the size of my phone, and the fact that the top is only covered by a small piece of plastic (the rest is rubber), every time I put my phone in my jeans pocket, when I pulled it out, the case would come off the phone and my phone fell on the floor once - luckily on carpet and a very small distance. There is a serious design flaw here.

Finally tried the Symmetry Series and the camera is higher than the case, so if I put the phone on the table the camera glass would touch the surface! But this was only in one corner, it's as if the case was slanted somehow inside.

On top of that, the quality of the plastic is now very bad in the Defender and also the Commuter. Only the Symmetry is good quality plastic but the case was flawed!

Given that this is not a random event, due to the number of cases I've tried, I can only assume that something is wrong at the factory. Either the business has grown so quickly that quality control is no longer a priority, or there have been some forms of cost reductions in the manufacturing process.

I'm really disappointed because OtterBox was always my "go to" but now it has to be the new brand - Mous. Check out their cases, they are incredible.

Although, sadly, and for some weird reason, I'll always yearn for an OtterBox - perhaps nostalgia or perhaps because I had such a reliable experience with the brand once upon a time.

I hope that they fix the quality control issues.

Bought this as wanted a sturdy case that sat flush with the bump on the camera lense (Galaxy Note 20 Ultra).

While it feels sturdy and durable, it kinda feels a bit slippery to hold. There is also very little feedback when using the side buttons on this case.

Overall, quality I expected from a known brand like Otterbox, but I just felt let down by the general feel of this case.

Little or no protection for the camera lenses!

I've always bought OtterBox cases for my phones and I've always been very satisfied with their durability and their sturdiness however in this instance for my new Samsung note 20 Ultra it's not a good cover at all, there is less than 1mm between the edge of the case and the beginning of the camera lens therefore giving the camera lens no protection whatsoever and based on this I would not recommend.

Great case . Fits my note 20 ultra perfectly and elwminates the camera bump somewhat as my phone no longer rocks on the table when using the spen due to the case. Have had otter box for years and am always confident that my phone will come uscsathed if I was to drop them . The only thing I would change would be to have a slightly bigger protrusion around the camera bump as I am always afraid of the camera glass touching the surface and breaking . Even 1 more mm would be sufficient to make that difference .

Believe me I tried all the case manufacturers you all heard of, from Speck to Spigen, the Otterbox came to be the best, I owned every Note phone that ever came out except the note 7, My favorite case of all times was the Speck Presidio, but when I tried it this year it was not good enough, especially the fit and material , so i started trying lots of cases till I finally got this Otterbox Symmetry and it turned out to be perfect, except for just a tiny thing; the inside lining should've been made softer, and this is why i gave it 4 stars not the full 5.

I love the Otterbox cases but always found them bulky. This Symmetry one is pefect for my Note 20 Ultra. It is slim but feels protective and isn't too slippery even though. The fit is tight and secure. All the cutouts are perfectly positioned - one minor comment I will make is that the cut out for the S-pen is set slightly far from the base of the pen rather than flush with it, so you kind of push your thumb in to make contact. But that's a very minor consideration.
