This is my third otterbox case for this phone, they live a hard life with me unfortunately.
Trust me when I say, my phone almost has a daily tumble to the floor due to clumsiness and yet it doesn't have a scratch on it. This is 100% due to the otterbox working over time to save my phone.
I am one of those people that buys a phone cash when I need a new one, and the otterbox simply means that my phones last longer and I am out less money for new phones. Its 2021 and I am still using the Samsung Galaxy S8 (bought shortly after release) and I look forward to using this phone for many more years thanks to this new case.

It's an Otterbox: it's sturdy, well made and makes your phone hefty, chunky and easy to grip. It has to have the sides exposed because of the annoying design of the curved screen, but it does have a lip on the top and bottom. Nicely shaped on the back to lead your finger to the fingerprint reader. One initial drawback was that because of the odd surface texture/coating this case has, older design switchable Popsockets would absolutely not stick to it, which was heartbreaking. The new ones are much stickier and do work, so this case is finally perfect.

High protection, low profile

A fantastic case by OtterBox, it's perfect for anyone in need of a protective yet stylish case. The ridges ensure that no part of the entire curved display can touch a flat surface and also add some shock absorption for face down drops (which I've done a few times now with no damage at all). The buttons are a tad stiff to begin with but after two weeks of use I got used to them, and the case provides a fair amount of grip.

Although this case doesn't provide as much protection or grip as a Defender or Commuter series, it still manages to have a repectable amount of both whilst keeping a slim and ergonomic design which seamlessly moulds with the phone for people who want an otterbox without the bulk. (It also makes the fingerprint scanner WAY easier to use)

I had a slim case in the S8 before, but after dropping the phone once and seeing the screen crack, I knew I had to swap it out.

I've dropped the phone with this case (accidentally) twice with this case and it's much better at protecting the phone as it has a little lip top and bottom of the case. It's not to noticeable, but I'm glad it's there.

Wish I'd had this the first time, to save the £50 excess on the insurance quite to fix the screen.

Fits the S8 really well, good tight fit, I did have a glass screen protector fitted as well, so if you want one they can fit, but I removed the screen protector as it made the phone unresponsive. I have dropped it a few times and has survived so far, this case does sit low on the phone but it has to to keep it from making the phone to bulky and so you can use the curve screen side bar.
I would describe this as a light case for people who don’t often drop there phone

Easy to fit and stays on well. Good design that seems to protect the phone well despite leaving the screen totally unobscured. Have used one for 5 years plus and this was a replacement for first which had started to come apart after some years continuous use. Never had even a crack on the screen despite numerous accidental drops over the years on various surfaces. Would recommend.

So this is a solid case, that's definitely easy to use, and I used it with a tempered glass screen protector with no worries. My main problem with it is the case itself feeling too rubbery, especially with the buttons. Taking a screenshot with this case on is very hit and miss, which is why I had to replace it with another brand's case with a tougher, less rubbery feel to it.
This was my first Otterbox case, and also my last.

I've had this for years now and it still looks as new. It does make my phone massive but worth the trade-off as my phone is in perfect condition, despite my child chucking it around and me dropping it on pavements.

Great cover for the phone, does well to protect it. This is my second one of these, and the same issue has occurred where the rubber covering the power button on my Galaxy S8 gets worn down and prevents me from being able to press it properly. Really annoying as this second cover asn't even lasted me a full year

I love the otterbox cases always well designed and sturdy. This case is mostly no exception apart from the power button. On my case you have to lift the power button slightly in order to activate it. Aside from that the case has protected the phone from many drops.
