Headaches - a real shame because otherwise excellent

Really sorry to write this review because I initially loved Xtend BCAA in Blood Orange. I am only writing in case others experience unusual auras or headaches. I do not get headaches and I started to get them. I suspected a link with the product and stopped using it for a week - headaches went away. I then introduced it and drank one scope with a pint of water. Within 20 minutes I had a nasty aura in my head and slightly impaired vision in my left eye. I tried again the next day same one scoop with a pint of water and 20 minutes a nasty migraine type headache. I have stopped using it - no more headaches. I might try once again to test it because I don't wish to blame the product unnecessarily.

I am not going to use this review to talk about the benefits of taking a BCAA supplement because chances are you already know about that and if not there are plenty of more qualified individuals out there to give you all the information you could need. Instead I will keep it to talking about Scivation's offering specifically.

So let's start by looking at the nutritional facts. Included in each serving is huge 7g of BCAAs in the known most effective proportion of 2:1:1 of the key aminos. This is achieved by not including a lot of fillers and only including the essential things with known benefits to training such as 2.5g if Glutamine and 1g of Citrulline Malate.

Now lets talk a little about the flavour. I have personally tried about half of the offered flavours in the past 9 or 10 months and haven't had any terrible experience. The best flavour so far in my opinion was the Watermelon and the worst the Strawberry and Kiwi which I found to be overly sweet for my palette but not unbearably so.

Did I see any difference while using this product? The short answer is Yes! I definitely saw my recovery time reduced and as I am using this intra-workout I am seeing the benefits of increased longevity and small strength increases too. I would also say that I have seen size gains too but how much this can be attributed to the use of this supplement alone is certainly debatable.

To conclude my overall opinion of this product is highly positive and I do recommend it to friends. If you are reading this review trying to decide whether to try Scivation Xtend BCAAs I would say go for it.

話は少し逸れるが、さとうきび糖は南国の生産だけあって南国フルーツの味によくマッチしていると思う
これからも色々試して自分にとってベストなテイストを見つけたい

I am an expert do not go with just the 3 aminos Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine what you need is all 9 essential amino's if you want recovery and muscle protein synthesis, but your better off eating food for growth like eggs contribute to more actual muscle tissue than BCAA's or any liquid form of amino's I tested this theory out for 6 years and found more growth with actual foods like eggs beef, chicken is more about repairing your muscle than size of your muscle. I found Eggs and Beef more for size. mix veggies and salad with that for health and your good to go for lean muscle gains.

I do like the flavour of these though they are A/ unhealthy for you and B/ do not do anything as it doesn't contain all the essential amino acids, and thus anything with just the 3 aminos and a few synthetic vitamins and or caffeine in it is a downright a scamming industry.

The tub did not have expiry date stated any where (which seemed to be the problem with one of their batches) so did not open the tub and returned it over a month back but no refund until now despite my messages to the seller. Their communication is non-existant so based on that factor, I would give this product a "Big Fat ZEERRRO"
will contact Amazon to process my rwfusn instead now.

I purchased this when I started suffering extreme fatigue, restless legs and muscle weakness after intensive cardio work outs (I do a lot of spinning). It's been a complete game changer My fitness has improved and I no longer feel like I need to sleep for 3 days straight after a workout. The fatigue, restless legs and muscle weakness no longer happen.
The taste and consistency are also great. I would thoroughly recommend this.

Firstly the product itself - the flavour isn't bad. It doesn't make me want to throw up so that's an improvement over a lot of supplements. The powder is very fine and goes everywhere when you open the container. Honestly I can't say if it works or not - I can't say I've noticed any difference attributable to it but it's hard to say because the improvements I've made could be down to changes to my diet.
The packaging sucks, for want of a better word. Firstly the plastic container is utterly wasteful. They've packaged it to make it look like you're getting a lot of product but actually it occupies less than half the volume. Secondly, and partly because of that, when you've used most of the product it becomes incredibly difficult to get the scoop in there. I now have to sort of tap the side of the container to move it along, resulting in a lot of waste and mess. The other option is to scrape your hands on the sharp edges to get your whole hand in there. There's no need for any of this - just sell it in a pouch, the environment will thank you.

This powder is amazing and mixes well. I can see that some flavours might not be to some peoples taste, so I would buy small first to see what they taste like. I've gone for Fruit Punch, and it definitely punches... lol
The smell is very prominent and the taste is very, very sweet. Shame as I'm sure they could cut this back without impacting taste too much. Oddly, I mix this with Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Pre Workout Energy Powder Drink Fruit Punch and tones down the taste. Best part been on this combo for a couple of weeks and my training has improved greatly.... Hope this reviews helps

Now using Apple & Mango... the results of this powder appear to work really well, so back to my workouts.

In terms of the BCAA ratio and content, it's pretty good. The price is decent for BCAA+Glutamine, not the cheapest I've seen but by far not the most expensive.

The star dropped is for the flavour - I bought strawberry and mango and it's just too sweet, even for me (I normally love sweet things). You don't get much fruity flavour, it's just sugary tasting.

It also seems to foam up quite a lot when you shake it, which you need to let settle down or it leaves a weird residue on your mouth.

I ended up mixing it 50/50 with another brand's lime flavour powder, which worked quite well. The flavours balance out better, and it solved the foaming issue. I'm not sure I would use it again on its own though.

I have been buying these for a long time, and I just opened and started using this last shipment. I immediately noticed it has a funny taste unlike any Scivations before that I've had; all of the same flavor coming to me from the Subscribe and Save.

I opened it up and it smells strongly like flour...

Then I noticed it is no longer sporting the "NSF" logo, even though their Amazon sales page has a misleading picture of the NSF logo among the pictures they have listed of the product.

I cancelled my Subscribe and Save and will be immediately purchasing from another company.

Pay attention.
