Best taste for a protein shake

All protein powders are the same (or should be) on the content, they all have protein. What makes the difference between them is in the taste, and this one has to be the best. I have recently ordered the new Chocolate Hazelnut, and it's exquisite. It's almost like you are not drinking a protein shake, but an actual milkshake. The classic Double Chocolate taste is also quite good. I found banana cream too sweet, but still acceptable. One caveat, though, I highly recommend taking it with milk (my personal mix is 150g of milk, 150g of water and 2 scoops of protein powder). If mixed with water only, it does not have any consistency and looks more like dirty water.
I would not go with any other protein powder.

Bonjour,

Alors j'ai lu attentivement les messages et je suis BEAUCOUP plus modéré.
Donc :
1 - niveau saveur, ce n'est pas un shake au chocolat mais c'est franchement buvable sans repeindre sur les murs !
2 - le packaging est correct et la boîte est scellée par une couronne en plastique doublée d'un opercule soudé
3 - je n'ai pas encore vu de larves (heureusement, sinon j'irai jusqu'à enlever 1 étoile sur mamazone)

Quant aux muscles, je ne sais pas, cela fait 2 jours que je bois cette potion magique et je ressemble toujours plus à Castaldi dans "Comme j'aime" qu'à Schwarzy dans Terminator.

Je dirais que la seule débilité, c'est une cuillère-doseur de 4cm de large qu'il est impossible de reverser dans une gourde sans en faire tomber partout (et l'entonnoir est inutile vu que c'est de la poudre presque compacte)
Donc cher fabriquant, si vous pouviez mettre une cuillère plus profonde et de 2 cm de large max, cela éviterait de prendre un jerrican de 10l pour mélanger ses 20cl de flotte ;)

My confidence was a bit shaken after reading so many Amazon reviews saying Amazon ON products are fake. I am new to using these products for weight management and my NHS obesity nurse said these shakes are a legitimate way of getting more protien in a daily basis. Scared of contamination, I contacted Optimum and using their online form stated my concerns and they have a Batch Number field to fill in as well. Considering I contacted them on a Friday, I got an answer the next Monday afternoon. They had checked the batch number and confirmed its authentic manufacture (date, description, time). Customer service said that Amazon is an authorized seller of their products. If you are uncertain I would use the manufacturer's Customer Service Dept to check.

FAKE PRODUCT, DO NOT BUY!

I ordered this as it was an Amazons Choice, which made me think it is a genuine product, however on inspection it didnt seem right. I checked with the manufacturer and everything they highlight as to a genuine product does not appear on this product.

1 - there is no production date, only expirey date, manufacturer states there must be a production date

2 - The gold measuring scoop does not have the company branding on it, and looks totally different to the genuine one

3 - Genuine products have a cardboard seperator inside the lid, this did not have it at all

4 - The protein should not stick to the inside of tub on genuine products, however this one is stuck all over the inside

5 - the marking on the bottom of the tub do not match what the genuine one has according to their official website

6 - tried to dissolve a small amount in water and it didnt dissolve as expected, turned lumpy

I would not risk putting this into my body, and advise you not to risk it. I am shocked amazon is allow fake products to be sold on their platform. Unbelieveable.

This is not legit ON Whey

I’ve been using ON Whey for over 10years. It’s the only whey protein I buy. I know the range well and I very rarely use any other brands as I’m serious about my training and I want the best supps for the best results.

The recent tub of Chocolate Mint ON Whey is totally different to what I’ve had over the years.

The lid, label, size of tub and even the scoop inside are all different. Tbh it looks and feels like a cheap Chinese knockoff.

Whoever is the buying lead of these products for Amazon should be sacked. You obviously got ripped off and whoever sold you this to sell on Amazon is laughing all the way to the bank.

After having the Double Rich Chocolate flavour for a while, I was growing tired of it and decided to take a punt on this flavour, hoping for the protein shake equivalent of Café Nero's frappe of the same flavour and lo and behold, it is just as delicious; like drinking melted raspberry ripple ice-cream.

For those complaining about the raspberry bits, agreed - bit of a strange decision, but I always chuck the powder and milk in my Nutribullet and hey presto! No bits. Also, no aspartame.

Am satisfied it's 100% genuine as the tub meets all of ON's authentication checks. Always buy direct from Amazon, preferably via the ON store itself.

Looking for a break from Chocolate? Look no further.

Getting tired of Amazon sending me spoled/off whey. This is the 4th of 6 orders that has been spoiled.
I use one of these 900g tubs every 7-8 days, and have done for three years since I started lifting so I know how it should mix & taste.
Recently the taste has just been off (just like a weird sour milk). Also it has big foamy bubbles and black specs floating in it.
If in the next couple of orders things don't improve ill look at other brands or maybe even suppliers.

Best protein in UK among the ones i have tried(MyProtein, Bulk Powder,USN, ON). Good for recovery as well. Doesnt contain semi essential amino acids as with all protein brands in UK. There is a brand in India MuscleBlaze. I have found that to be the best brand for muscle building+recovery. It contains semi essential amino acids as well like arginine, proline etc, which help increase growth hormone release and recover joints. But that is currently not available in UK.

I like this protein drink, it works well for me. I am not a body builder but I do exercise quite a bit. As I don't eat huge amounts of meat this just tops up my protein nicely as well as being a yummy milkshake (totally delicious with full fat milk but very naughty!!).
Arrived promptly, well packaged and good value for money

A product has to be either really good, or really bad for me to bother writing a review.

This is a bad one I'm afraid. Now it doesn't state anywhere I could see, but the white chocolate and raspberry flavour contains pieces of raspberry. This might seem obvious to some but I assumed it would be flavouring. It makes me gag trying to drink it with little floating bits in it!

But it's not all doom and gloom. If you LIKE a mild white chocolate flavour and you want raspberry pieces that are bitter when awoken then this is all for you. After all, taste is individual.

The nutrional info makes this probably the best powder for its price range, IMO.
And it mixes really well, climb free. Oh the irony.
3 stars because its decent stuff, rubbish flavour.
