Not a perfect fit for the M1 MacBook Air

This case is probably fine for the last model of Intel MacBook Air, but the M1 is ever so slightly bigger, which means that this case doesn't fit properly. It nearly fits, but you either have to stretch the case (leading to premature cracks), or just have not all of the sides lock on properly. The (much more expensive) Incase model is the only one I've come across that actually works on M1 MacBook Air.

When it arrived I found the baseplate to have dark spots where the mound has been poorly finished. It doesn’t stay secure and tbh my Mac would look better with a skin I think. This cover isn’t really what I expected in quality.

I can’t comment on durability yet as I’ve only used it for a few days since I received it, but it it’s clear and made of hard plastic. The only thing so far would be it’s a bit fidgety to out on. Make sure case and your MacBook are completely clean before putting on as not easy to very remove with fear of breaking the case or scratching the MacBook.

Looks nice but not good quality and very brittle plastic. I bought this for my new mac during lockdown and it hasn't left my bedroom. Literally stays on my desk or on my bed and 3 of the 4 corners have cracked and snapped off. I have been VERY careful and diligent as my mac was brand new so have not been throwing this about in anyway.

I had high hopes for this product after I got a recommendation from a friend and at first, it was exactly what I wanted.

However when I went to put the cover on, it was incredibly difficult as it wouldn’t stay on. Eventually after trying for long it went on but a day or two later, I discovered that the cover cracked at the bottom corner despite me not even using the laptop.

Quite disappointed because its not worth the money for the quality I received.

Difficult to remove

Looks great on unfortunately difficult to remove was my experience and now already cracked in one corner spoils the aesthetics but there you go. Once on leave on if you don’t want to be frustrated 😂

The bottom side does not fit properly.

Great case for the price. However, there are 2 clips on the bottom case that are clearly meant to go over and clip onto the top. but only one clips on as if you try and clip the other one on then the other one falls off, so only one side fits at a time. the colour is a nice opaque but you can still see the underneath of your actual MacBook. if the clip doesnt affect you then its a good case, quite hard to put on and take off but overall nice and sleek

Blotchy finger print magnet

For its purpose it appears to be OK, i.e protecting your MacBook against little sinks and scrapes, but this is proper finger print magnet which after a week of use looks blotchy and not worthy of the premium product it is supposed to be protecting. The picture says it all, wouldn't waste your money.

Not worth it

Was keen on trying a MacBook case. Putting it on was an excruciating task, it was very very tight and the case made this scary sound that when you hear, you know your Mac has been scratched.

Once on, the plastic felt incredibly cheap, couldn't see the apple logo at all, so it looked like a generic laptop (I like seeing the apple logo lol). Decided to take it off, once taken off, it sure did leave some small, but noticeable scratches. Also the clips on the case that clipped onto the Mac, left some chipping on the aluminium casing of my MacBook. Again, small but noticeable.

Really not worth it in my opinion, but if you don't mind the cheap look, the tight fit, and if you're not gonna take it off anytime soon then its OK I guess.

Had this on my brand new MacBook Air 2020 for a couple of hours of normal use having just bought both.
Closed the lid and it was covered in finger marks from opening and closing a few times. Tried to clean it and no joy. Made the brand new device look rubbish and tatty.

Returned to Amazon with no issues which was very useful, but beware before purchasing.

Shame, it is a lovely colour!
