Disassembled Rubbish!

These were bought as spmething smart for an 83 year lady in isolation and sent efficiently directly to her by Amazon.
On opening, the old lady found an arm and the nose pieces off. She could not put these together; and her neighbour - who tried - found the screws wouldn't fit.
His verdict: 'You've been done!'
Since I can't get them back to return and the lady can't go out and doesn't have internet, this has proved an embarrassing waste. And these are NOT cheap: at least they should come in one piece!
Amazon Messaging Assistant | Customer Service offered this disgraceful response.
"Unfortunately, this item can no longer be returned for a refund.

This is the second pair of glasses I have purchased, so you’ll be wondering why I’m giving such a negative review. Here goes, I unfortunately lost my first pair and immediately ordered another pair as the first pair were excellent.
Second pair arrived and after 3 days they became loose around the bridge area on glasses. I used the screwdriver, supplied with glasses, to tighten up all the screws but bridge area became loose again after 1 day.
So disappointed, I’ve done a temporary repair on area of concern ie superglue to keep bridge screw in situ. Not ideal and I plan to purchase new set of reading glasses but not from this company. I know I could have probably went through returns of faulty goods but it just another hassle I can do without. I wouldn’t mind so much but as reading glasses go these are not cheap.

Only lasted 2 days before one of the screws fell out on the nose bridge. Lost the screw and the silicon washers and now can't use them.

Update. Seller contacted me and then replaced them. So, now I'm a happy buyer :)

Great frameless reading glasses.

I have found these to be very good glasses for me; I use +2.0 for reading and close-up work. Good size of frameless lenses (although personally I would prefer even larger rimless lenses but I can't seem to find any bigger) and nicely tensioned spring arms which hold them on securely. This is the second pair that I have bought, because the lawn mower ate my first pair that I left on the grass. Those had been in daily use for well over a year, the arm fixings were just starting to get loose and I would have had to tighten them up soon. Now my second pair have the slight yellow tint, which might well be good for the eyes for all day casual screen use (maybe?), but for colour accurate work I always switch to a perfectly clear, framed, large lens pair from a different maker. However, these CGID glasses are very good, although not perfect, but yes I would definitely buy them again and I do recommend them to anyone looking for rimless glasses.

On receiving the glasses, I knew that I had chosen a quality product, great storage case, cleaning cloth, spare nose pads and a little adjustment tool. Very comfortable to wear and lightweight. The only problem I experienced was the power of the lenses, I would normally wear +1.5 for distance and +2.5 for close work, however I found that these were giving me issues as seemed over powered.

Jennifer from customer care team contacted me of her own accord to make sure everything was suitable and I explained the problem to her, without hesitation she sent me a reduced strength pair of distance glasses for me to try and keep in constant touch with me, the power of the glasses was reduced by +0.5 and worked great, she then sent me a pair of +2 for my close work and again these have resolved the issues.

I was not charged for the product and have to say it is rare to experience such great customer service form a company these days, I would like to thank Jennifer for following up on the sale and giving absolutely incredible customer service throughput, would thoroughly recommend this product and the customer care behind the company selling them.

Good quality case. Lightweight, good fit.

I bought a second pair so I can have one at Home and another at work.

I wear contact lenses for my short sightedness which have recently made reading my computer monitors and smartphone appear a little blurry. These reading glasses have really helped. They came with a handy tool for tightening them up, which I’ve only needed to use once so far.

Rapid delivery and arrived with a suede lined box, spare screws and nose supports, and would you believe it a screwdriver! The lenses are coated and give a pleasant yellow cast that reduces strain on the eyes. Really excellent!

Update edit - see second photo - I've now had three pairs in the space of a month that all break at the same place. Amazon is saying the item is not refundable - definitely buy an alternative - reduced to one star. They were so good, there's obviously a design weakness sadly

For the money, lens quality is excellent. Tint for screen use is perfect as good as anything I have used. If working and lean forward they may slip off as arms very slim and slippery but bet easy to sort. As frameless a lot of pressure on mounts so not for heavy use. Case is the best I have had with a pair and protect these light glasses
I have bought again so well worth it.

I've bought these twice at slightly different lens strengths and my score is an average of 5/5 and 3/5 for the two pairs.

The first set were excellent, but there must have been some changes along the way. On the second pair the nose pieces were a very soft and squishy material rather than plastic, which I found quite uncomfortable. There were some other small differences such as screw types etc. I was able to replace some parts on the second pair with spares, but otherwise I would probably have returned them.

However they do look quite smart and are very light, plus it's quite easy bend the arms that little bit for best fit. Some of the screws have occasionally loosened, which I don't mind, but be aware these may require an occasional bit of maintenance. Depending what you get, the screws may be tri-wing which you'll need an appropriate screwdriver for.

Best reading glasses ever for both reading and computer work. For the price I would highly recommend. I used to get headaches and eye strain because I work on a computer for 8-12 hours a day. With these glasses my eyes are relaxed and both headaches and eye strain are no longer an issue. I did buy a cheaper pair from Amazon a while back which only seemed to have the proscription lens in the center but these ones are the whole lens. I love them and they actually look good too.
