I like the design & look of this version of the Lamicall Phone Stand I bought. It weighs in at 106g and I really do believe that it is more stable and sturdy than the other version that they do that weighs in at 83g. Nevertheless I do believe that it should be treated as well and gently as you would treat your mobile phone in order to preserve its good looks and ensure it gives you years of good use. I’ve got it in a silver colour and it comes well-packaged. The phone stand comes with some grey sticky pads on its base to give it traction, so it does not slide all over the place on a shiny or smooth surface. There are also some grey sticky pads on the edge of the two extendable arms (please see the pictures for the big easy-to-press cylindrical button on the side of the stand, with which one uses to extend out the arms to the desired angle or to fold the stand back for easy storage) where the phone stands - this is to protect the phone from scratches. Compared to some of the other phone stands I’ve seen & used in the past, I’d say this phone stand is very well put together and of EXCELLENT quality, however I must stress the importance in exercising restraint and caution in the use of the stand for one’s Phone so the sticky pads don’t come off the edge of the extendable arms. I keep my phone stand wrapped up in the nice cellophane wrapping it came packaged in when I’m not using it. However, all is not lost IF the sticky pads come off through mishandling, as extra grey sticky pads for the base & extendable arms of the phone stand are provided.. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my review and find it helpful. I would definitely recommend the product, and by the way, I’m not in any way connected to the seller or the product. Happy Shopping! PS I think it should be able to take the weight of a big or heavy phone. According to its product description it should be able to support screen size 4 inches to 8 inches (measured in diameter across i.e. 10.16cm to 20.32cm). However I’d be very wary of putting a TABLET or a very HEAVY phone on it, as I’m not sure it would be able to support the weight! Once again, thanks for reading...

I have a iPad stand from Lamicall, which has great quality and works perfectly. So I decided to also buy a iPhone stand from the brand.
Unfortunately this phone stand disappoints me! It does not stands firmly at all. Instead, it shakes easily even when I touch my phone very tenderly. See the video!
I do not know whether it is the problem of this particular stand I received, or it is same for all others, but the one I received does in no way has the same standard as the tablet stand from this brand.

Solid enough, but has poor design decisions

This stand seems to be well made and solid enough, but suffers from poor design thinking and decisions.

* If you want your phone horizontal this is very phone subjective as side buttons vary among models. The two holding feet are unmovable so if your phone has a power button at an unlucky side position your phone will be restarting unexpectedly.
* If you want your phone vertically you have to use a VERY thin and flexible charging cable or the plug bit of the cable will cause the phone to not sit flat. The back stem of the stand just isn't tall enough to avoid this.
* The 4 base feet have quite a small surface area so the whole stand is prone to moving. There isn't enough contact with the table surface to have enough grip.

Not terrible, but could have had more thought.

I got this as I'm using video calls to keep in contact with friends during 2020 lockdown. It's become an essential piece of equipment rather than precariously balancing my phone or enduring a sore wrist. I'd thoroughly recommend this product as easy to use, it holds my 15.5 cm X 7.5 cm phone beautifully. The base is sturdy and has nonslip points to hold both base and phone in place. It folds up and would be really portable for travel.
I'm planning to buy more from this maker as presents for friends.

This was on Amazon Special Deal for a whisker under a tenner so I picked one up? Why? I wanted an adjustable phone holder which I could also plug in the charging cable from underneath but not always have to have it docked in such a manner so it was always charging. This seemed to fit the bill (even though I really wanted the black one).

It works exactly as I expected and is a solid, chunky piece of aluminium that holds my phone nicely at whatever angle I want when viewing messages or YouTube stuff. And, of course, I can plug in the charger cable very neatly via the hold in the rear just as shown in the picture.

Next day Amazon had the black version on offer. What to do? Convince myself that the black version fitted in really well in the office but the silver one was ideal for the bedroom.

Let's face it, I would not have bought another one if the first one did not meet my expectations. Very nice.
