i bought this product a year or so ago for an older mackbook pro, and it fit perfectly, so I bought again for my new model, they are the same size, but the product is no longer as accurately fitting, it will do the job but it is not as refined or as neat as before, it is too big in most areas of the laptop, the trackpad cover is too big, and covers both the trackpad and the frame, it needs to be about 1mm smaller on all sides resulting in 2mm size decrease, the palmrest cover is to deep and wide, and the very thin part that fits around the top of the trackpad is too high resulting in the bezel encroaching into the keyboard space (Not blocking any keys though), again, this entire top edge needs trimming down by about 2mm, the cutout for the front of the laptop where it gets opened is also marginally to big and is resulting in overhang over the laptop, not a big issue as i have a case fitted to my laptop, but if it was not in a case this would look and feel a bit scrruffy

I found applying the item to be difficult - however the seller was very helpful and replied very quickly to any queries I had.

The item itself is very effective for scratch resistance but also allows for the laptop to cool so it doesn't overheat.

The texture is slightly rougher than the texture of the normal palmrest of the Macbook , however this is to be expected due to its hard wearing nature

The fit is almost perfect and requires a slight amount of forward planning - I found using the sellotape trick commonly used in screen protector application to be very effective

The trackpad sticker is perfect and all the normal functionality of the trackpad is available

It is quite easy to remove - however reapplying may be a little more difficult as the material curls up a little once you have pulled it off

Overall solid item - customer service from seller was second-to-none

A perfect fit, fairly easy to install. Track pad works great and doesn't slow down. I bought this as I want to help the longevity of the Mac book. I did a lot of looking around for this product and it hasn't let me down. Covers the whole palm rest area, left and right palms. The track pad cover is great as well. A clean snug fit. The only issue I have is that part of it will create a small bubble, even after pushing it out. I put this down to my Mac case cover or because of my inability to put it on properly. In no way think its the products fault. In fact I will be buying another one when this at some point starts to show wear or I become sick of the bubble.

Using the trackpad on my mac caused my fingertips to burn, and left me unable to swipe my tablet and smartphone screens without pain. This would last several days, but always returned when I used the trackpad on the mac. Apple suggested a product like this. It really works - I can now use the trackpad without pain. Looks wise, you wouldn't even know it was there. If you suffer from burning finger tips, this may well work for you too.

Just bought new MacBook Pro and want to keep it in good shape, always thought these sort of things where a gimmick but it’s brilliant. You need a steady hand to fit it perfectly but it looks clean and in my opinion feels better than the actual trackpad and surround.
