The ink cartridges I buy from Amazon are excellent quality and a lot cheaper than HP cartridges.
Currently, my HP Printer can not be used (I can't even access the settings) unless I replace the cartridges with HP originals. Apart from the cost I refuse to bullied byu HP so you can buy this printer from me for next to nothing and HP can get stuffed.

I found the setup pretty straight forward with no issues. Followed the online instructions and then completed the setup with the HP iOS app to automatically add WiFi etc. Installing the setup cartridges were again straight forward.
Having upgraded from the previous HP 8620 office jet pro due to issues, this printer was 1kg lighter at around 12kg but similar in size and bulk. I understand the 9010 version is only 9kg and a little smaller in size. In hindsight I might have gone for that model since I don’t need 2 paper trays which this has to store a total of 500 pages (250x2). My only reason for opting for this one was the potential faster scanning speeds but not sure if that really makes a difference.
One thing which I feel may be a limiting factor (for me anyway) is that the auto document feeder (ADF) does not have sufficient depth compared to all my previous printers so Having tried I cannot load more than about 30 pages of A4 compared to more than double that with my old printer. The consequence of that means scanning large documents will require a little bit of fiddly work to combine the files.
Also HP could have been more generous with the size of the LCD display. It’s ridiculously small and difficult to press icons close together especially if you have fat fingers.
Will update again after a few months.
**Update after 4 weeks**
Seems to be a fault with the printer because the ADF does not scan the pages straight. Pages are scanned slightly skewed / slanted despite me inserting them correctly against the guiders at the top.
Cartridges also appear very expensive compared to other XL cartridges from printer models that have been around longer.
Please also note / HP has removed the COMPRESSED colour pdf option from this line of officejet. This is an own goal for HP. Scanning eg 30 pages now means you have a file size of over 25/30 meg which when using scan to email, your eg gmail server won’t send it as a file attachment. Old office jet compressed pdf would only consume 1-2mb for the same document. Having spoken to HP support they did confirm that this printer won’t support it.
So every scan document on this printer will consume a heck of a lot of storage space.
I have reduced to 2 stars because of the issues in this latest update.

Update 1 March 2020
I ended up unfortunately returning the 9020 printer for the above reasons. I have since purchased the 9025 office jet pro (which essentially is the same printer but a different blue coloured ADF and with instant ink (which I wont be signing up to). Guess what? The same stupid problem happens with the ADF (slanted scanned pages). I scan a lot of A4 papers each work which I store in my google drive for backup. Even A5 credit card bills etc.
The paper is always skewed when pulled by the rollers in the ADF. HP support is absolutely hopeless asking me to try irrelevant things like I dont know what Im doing e.g. reset the printer or scan to a windows machine rather than scan to email. I'm surprised they have not asked me to unplug and plug in the printer again or use feather duster to wipe the external cover (maybe a multicoloured duster will only do). There is most probably a design flaw with this printer I cannot understand how two models from the same range, have identical problems. It cannot be user error. I have been using all in one printers since the late 1990s and this is my 4th HP all in one. I love the single pass scanning function (no need to rotate the paper as it scans both sides in one single pass), but I cannot have unprofessional looking PDF which come out slanted by a few millimeters. Sometimes its even worse if you are scanning 10-30 pages.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has this problem (scanning lots of pages from the ADF).

Update 23 July 2021
After nearly 2 years of having two replacement printers, I can say that the issue regarding the skewed or crooked scans remain. The lack of compressed PDF seems to have been resolved. Maybe HP read my review here, but a software update on the printer around autumn 2020 has meant that you can now select "compressed PDF" as a toggle switch on the control panel when scanning. However, the compression is not as good as some of my older printers, but good to have the feature none the less
I will probably replace this printer with another, not sure if the newly manufactured printers of this same model have the crooked scanned fixed.

Update 31 December 2021
I have yet again replaced this printer under the warranty / Amazon returns policy with the same 9025 model.
It appears, that the skewed scanning from the ADF has now been fixed. Pages are, on the whole now scanned straight and I can visibly see the paper being sucked in more or less straight. There are sometimes small issues with alignment of the header of a scanned page but much better than when I bought this printer after it was first released.
The compressed PDF option is only offered on coloured scans and not greyscale which is a shame because the size issue still remains compared to my old officejet from many years ago.
I have also discovered a new issue where if you try to scan more than circa 25-30 pages from the ADF, for some strange reason it gives up and emails you a partially scanned document. I then need to scan the remaining few pages still securely in the ADF and manually recompile the PDF using my software. Also large scans seem not to arrive by email for some reason without any reason.

The printing is really quick compared to any previous printer I have had and whilst I haven't done any large jobs yet I have no reason to seriously doubt the figures given. It scans really quickly as well and the document feeder is a big plus for me. General printing quality is good but photo quality is the only reason I only give four stars for quality, I did not expect great as it is not a photo printer so it is an acceptable trade off for the speed gains.
Build quality seems good and solid for the price.
Reviewed my likely useage and decided not to utilise the HP instant ink process.
So five stars in all but one area for me so far. Will try to remember to come back and correct if I have reason to become less impressed.
