Goede lichtsterkte met vele lichtopties. Netjes verpakt met kabels erbij. Voelt zeer sterk/degelijk aan en is zeer makkelijk te monteren. Veilig voor de donkere dagen.

Product niet duurzaam. Snel kapot.

Achterlicht twee maanden intensief gebruikt ( 3 uur per dag) Elke dag twee keer opgeladen. Opladen duurt erg lang en lukt nog maar aanzetten lukt niet meer. Geen duurzaam product dus. De achterlichtjes van de HEMA zijn nog beter. Voorlicht werkt nog wel maar lichtbundel zoals op plaatjes is overdreven. Montage op stuurhouder is even wennen. Als je het niet goed doet (knopje indrukken) valt hij van de houder af.

Good light, but let down by design flaws

First, the pros:

1. For the price, they are plenty bright. I cycle through unlit woods to and from work, and although they don't give enough light for speeding along rough ground in the dark, they are easily good enough for an unlit commute on or off road.

2. The battery life is really very good indeed.

3. The build quality of the lights themselves is actually very good for the price.

The reasons I only gave them a 3* review are:

1. The design of the clips is rubbish. Seriously an after thought. Incredibly cheap and plasticky clips.

2. Because of that, I've lost the rear light; it should itself off the latching clip on rough ground without me noticing.

3. The switch on the front light is already really hard to press, and I suspect it will do that thing where switches stop working fairly soon. I don't know why light manufacturers put these crappy little rubber clicky impossible to press switches on; even my Knogs do it. The switches never last.

4. The USB charging cover is particularly flimsy; one has already come off twice. No idea how waterproof the lights are without this, but I can't imagine it does much anyway.

Shame, they are SO CLOSE to being amazing value for money.

I was initially very pleased with this product and its brightness and ease of use. That is, until the fourth or so time I had to charge it - which was really soon after I have charged it fully following the instructions - the battery lasted only 20 min ride to work. I have noticed a strange thing then: as soon as plugged the front torch came on and I was unable to turn it off. It took forever to charge that time, and remained on - until it died a few hours later. The next charge was even worse - it would work only if plugged in. When I have checked it later it came on - so I proceeded to work as usual - only for it to die soon after I got to the main road - maybe a minute! I expect my front torch was just faulty and would have sent it back but the docking mechanism came lose and the strap was lost during numerous trials to reanimate it so I expect I wont be able to get a refund. I cycle to and from work after dark, and had a frenzied attempt to get the light on when I got to a spot where I could "safely" stop. I could have died on that road without a working light in high traffic, so I wasn't really looking if i put it in the pocket securely afterwards. Ended up on pavement with my phone torch - and very late for work.
It could be that vibration, temperature or moisture caused an internal electrical damage - but it is a BIKE LIGHT, and at £20 I expected a better quality for something that is designed to take vibration and adverse weather as a part of its main use.
As a mean of keeping me safe on the road this item failed me

Tail light malfunctioned, questionable quality

Okay, so I've owned this for 6 weeks now, and have been commuting by bike about 20 times during this time. I'll first get the positives out of the way - the brightness is sufficient for my use, there is only one stretch of unlit road on my commute so I don't mind that the front light isn't bright enough for this, my intention is to be seen and to also keep an eye out for pot holes which it does a good enough job at. The lighting modes are great too.

After roughly my 16th commute, I have noticed the tail light needed charging, when I arrived home the light was unlit, luckily I had a backup light on too that came with my bike. My commute is roughly 20 to 30 minutes each way, so that comes to 16 hours (at most) of use on the flicker setting before I had to charge it, this is reasonable enough. I'm not sure what Cycleafer claims regarding the amount of usage you can get from the tail light, from what I'm aware of they only have this information available for the front light.

That said, after charging the tail light overnight I have now noticed that it is now malfunctioning. The tail light initially lights up, but then after arriving at my destination I find that it has turned itself off during my commute. I have noticed this during my last 4 commutes now, and have made sure to charge it again just in case, but it seems that the light is now broken, and simply will not keep lit for and more than a couple of minutes, and I'd just like to reiterate this is on the less intensive flicker setting. This presents a serious risk, so I will no longer be using it.

Overall very disappointed, I have since ordered new lights from a more reputable brand. I have decided to not use the front light either, as my issues with the tail light leads me to question the quality of the front light too, I would rather not have it malfunction during my next commute.

Great to begin with, then after a few months to rear red light stopped working.

They claim to offer a "3 year hassle free return" which is a lie. No number for contact information. On their website the contact number they provide redirects to amazon customer service who state there is nothing that can be done due to it being outside of the 30 day return policy

Terrible product. Terrible customer service. Avoid.

I am writing this after the Scottish winter which, unfortunately, these lights did not survive, so I have reduced the rating from 5 stars (in my initial review, below) to 3. I don't cycle far to work - 15 minutes each way mainly along a cycle path, so I wouldn't say the lights were subject to adverse road conditions, but they certainly didn't survive the rain. One of the lights eventually just wouldn't switch off, and both had water ingress, which obviously isn't good. Having said that, I contacted Cycleafer as I noted the 3 year warranty and, as the lights were purchased through Amazon, I was given a no-quibble refund.

I bought these based on the reviews on here. The lights are easy to fit to the bike, easy to charge, easy to operate, and extremely bright. There is an LED that flashes to let you know when you need to charge them again, and charging is straight forward. I would definitely recommend these lights.

The front light is fine, its very bright, works for now, battery life is reasonable and fits just fine on the handle bar.

Rear light is completely useless because it's not water resistant at all. It failed on my first bike ride in a bit of rain. I took it apart to see if I could salvage it, but apon inspection, there was no rubber gasket inside the casing to prevent water ingress at the screw holes or the case seems. How this passed any sort of water resistance test is beyond me.

The front facing light is there and the cables etc. but the tear led completely missing and you can just tell the little plastic twist cable ties have been put back on and everything poorly stuffed back into the box.

Annoyingly I don’t want the faf of the return just the rear led light sending, or part refunding so I can buy one myself. But there’s no option for that 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ordered this product on 04 September 2018 for 19.54. Was then told it was out of stock and estimated date was not yet known. Received an update on 12 September saying item will be delivered between Sept 22- Oct 06. This was too long to wait as I was needing lighting on my bicycle ASAP so cancelled the order and began looking for another product. Ended up seeing this product again and ordered it on the 15th Sept for 23.97 as delivery was confirmed for the 16th September.

Not great that old orders at lower prices are put on a lower priority than newer orders at the higher price...

The lights do seem to be bright and good so I'm happy with the product aside from the above.

I have been running these lights on my commute for nearly two years now. They are reasonably bright but the front light is NOT powerful enough to handle unlit roads at night. After about the first week the rubber seal snapped off the front light so I have been keeping it waterproof with an elastic band and piece of tape ever since.

The back light is "a gift that comes with the front light" so the company takes no responsibility for its performance. after about a week, the back light started drooping down on its mounting point so I would be riding along and find it was shining at the ground. I fixed this with an elastic band round my seatpost that I used to pin the light back upright.

These were 19.99 so really you get what you pay for.

2 x different sets of lights stopped working

I bought the first set of these lights in October 2018 and used them for commuting between Feb '19 and May '19. The front light stopped working in May and would not switch on, but it appeared to charge OK and the charging light came on. The rear lights red charging LED stopped working after a couple of weeks but the light continued to work OK.

I got a refund on the first purchase and bought another set of the same lights. The same thing has happened to the front light after 5 weeks of commuting. The rear light mount does not hold the light very securely and it fell out on a couple of occasions on bumpy road sections. Luckily, I heard it hitting the ground and was able to retrieve it those times but arrived at work one day and it was gone.

I'll now be seeking a refund for the second set and looking for a more reliable set of lights for my commute as I intend on using them through the Summer in daylight conditions. It's a real pity that these lights are unreliable as they are bright enough to be seen on sunny days (if they stay mounted)
