Each runs for eighteen minutes in total.
As a jumping on point this would work fine for new viewers but you would probably be better off starting with The Big Bang Theory - Season 1 [DVD ].
The show did hit the ground running in it's first year and get off to a great start then. But now in it's second one it manages to keep up the great writing, and do a lot more with the characters now that they are established and familiar.
New semi regular characters are introduced. Interesting guest stars pop up. And as Penny becomes less of an outsider and more firmly part of the group, you won't mind that doesn't develop her and Leonard's relationship as fast it could.
As with the first season the length of the episodes means each is very pacy and not a line of dialogue is wasted. Which allows for great repeat watch value as you can discover moments and lines you've forgotten from first time around.
The set has the following language and subtitle options:
Languages: English, Castilian Spanish, French.
Subtitles: English, Castilian Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Norwegian, Swedish.
Disc four has the following extras:
Gag reel: nine minutes worth of outtakes. As ever these are people forgetting their lines or getting them wrong or having multiple goes at one in particular. But some of the ones here are pretty funny.
A nine minute long documentary about the show's physics consultant.
And a fifteen minute long one about the second season as a whole.

It is one of the very few series ever which are not afraid to use real and complicated scientific theories and jargon as part of the comedy, and the genius of the writing is that, in my experience, the viewers knowledge or lack of knowledge of science doesn't prevent them from enjoying the show. It's probably unfair to single out cast members from what is really a truly ensemble comedy but I have to say that Jim Parsons as Sheldon has created a comedy character that compares with anything previously done on TV. A word too about Kaley Cuoco who is far from just being 'eye candy' but adds immensely to the comedy whilst effortlessly continuing to be simply stunning!
I have seen a good number of the third series episodes currently in the middle of being screened and the good news is that the standard shows no signs of falling. If you haven't tried TBBT please do so, you will love it whether science is your thing or not. But if you are a science fiction lover/technology nerd then you will think you have found TV heaven!
This second season is in many ways "more of the same" - not at all a bad thing considering the success of the first. It continues directly from the last episode of the first season, with Leonard and Penny returning from their date. The series continues much as you might expect, but with the added benefits that the characters are more established and confidently written, even more ludicrous situations are presented with good plausibility, and various guest characters add to the complexity of the stories and character interactions. There are some real classic moments in here - Space toilets, Robot Wars, Mars Rover mishaps, and Summer Glau, to name but a few.
Anyone new to the programme would be well advised to watch Season One first, as it introduces who's who and their numerous idiosyncrasies, allowing a better appreciation of this second season which largely assumes you know.
This DVD set is four discs with around six episodes per disc (23 total). The final disc also contains some short documentary and interview material, none of which is particularly riveting, although definitely worth a quick look if you're a fan, to get some behind-the-scenes insights.
The DVD comes also in spanish (for those in Spain who want to buy it). Nevertheless, the Original english version is faaar more better! Really funny, and the only thing you will regret is that there is no Season 3 already available in DVD yet.
If you like comedy, if you love tv series and some intelligent, and why not, some geek humour and never heard febore about Big Bang Theory, just buy this season, and dont forget to place in the same order the Season 1 DVD!!!
If you already are a fan, and havent watch it, don't wait to buy it, you will have even more hours of this awesome series!
And if you already have seen the Season 2, and dont own it... Dont think about it, and buy it, so you will be able to watch it as many times as you wish! In DVD quality and with very funny extras!
A Must Have!
