I had zero compatibility issues with the Ryzen 3600, there were some people who had issues with needing to Flash BIOS first but I had no issues. Updating the BIOS is a very simple process too. The loading splash screen is a bit ugly though, with a gun metal graphic of the brand.
But in terms of functionality, I really enjoyed building with this, the M.2. screw adapter thing is already on the board so you just unscrew that and adjust it to fit your M.2. Drive. There's only slot though but that's all I needed. There's no heatsink unlike the higher end version of this board.
Fans - I discovered a few things too late, such as all the fan connects are all 4 pins, so they weren't fully compatible with my 3 pin fans, however, you can still pop them in these points and control your fans through voltage instead with the MSI Center program. They say it's better than the Dragon Center as it lets you customise what you want to install so less bloatware.
JRGB - Again something I discovered too late, was that they weren't ARGB compatible, so I don't have control over my LEDs.... I didn't take this advice myself but checking your PC parts on PCPartspicker might help to get the perfect machine. But I did all this by ear ha. I don't need RGB anyway, it's tucked away not visible.
Make sure you use the correct screws to screw your motherboard in, I unfortunately used a wrong 3'5 screw thinking it was a 2'5 and I'm struggling to get that out! I'll deal with it another day though.
Summary
All in all the Tomahawk series have been widely praised, this is an ATX board so it's a standard large size. It suited all my needs so I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The next one up is the B550 and that has 2 M2 ports, but I think its about a 30-40 price increase.
All USBS work perfectly, unlike my first Gigabyte motherboard, but as a downside I would have preferred more USB ports, there's only 5 standard USBs and 1 USB C. I wish they'd knock out that MSI symbol and fit another 4 USBs in it's place!

Flashing was done on a FAT32 formatted USB. I advise using PowerShell or alternative for drives larger than 64GB. Too large may result in flashing errors, try a lower capacity USB drive if that is the case. Otherwise, follow the instructions provided in the manual and online.
As the B450 is PCI-E Gen 3, only buy this if you are on a tight budget. I chose this board due to the price at the time. £60 is great for this board and its reputation is great to boot. I upgraded from an i5 2500k.
If you are looking for a new CPU+Mobo, I would wait for the new AMD CPUs as they will come with a new socket type.
If you are on a budget and want a great 5600x mobo, this is for you. Just be aware that this socket type (AM4) is end of life. Only potential upgrade point is the new R7 5800X3D, though take this with a grain of salt. Whilst AMD's site currently says B450 will support this chip, history can prove otherwise and it will be down to MSI to update their BIOS for compatibility.

Secondly, the list of features listed for this board isn't complete, it offers more than what is advertised such as the red backlight being able to change to any colour you wish, it can pulse, breathe, you can turn it off or my personal favourite, you can set the colour to be based off the CPU temp which is incredibly convenient to get a general idea on temps without having to stop what you're doing and open some other program to see how hot it's running.
There is space for a NVME SSD, plenty of headers for fans, USB 3.0 suport, a USB C slot and Bios flashback should you need it.
Overclocking is also supported, and is accessible through the bios or the MSI Dragon Centre software available for free through the MSI site.
I'd definitely recommend this board to anybody looking for a future proof upgrade and a brilliant base to start building your own computer from, and after getting this system up and running I've made the switch from console gaming to PC gaming, it really is that good.

This experience was frustrating and a total waste of time and money.
I would not recommend buying a Motherboard separately ,better to buy components that have been tested and bundled together, so providing you with the assurance that they will work on arrival and simply need to be placed into pc case.
